I really don’t want Wilder to retire

I want him to decapitate some chubby Mexicans and Eurobums.

    Great fun

Who would you like to see him fight?

Yep people acting dramatic saying Deontay retire immediately we fear for your life

Ruiz would be the perfect comeback fight for Deontay AND the sport of boxing

Nuclear right and a heavyweight mexican

          Fight would sell

I don’t think he should retire but I also think he ruined what made him such a dynamic fighter. He was light, fast, powerful, and had a good engine. Now he’s slow, powerful, has a lack of stamina, and heavy which is making him slow footed. The losses may not have ruined him but his weight lifting and weight gain might be what does him in.

Agreed. He looked to much sharper when he was 20lbs lighter

Hopefully his team realizes this and they make sure he can adjust to the weight or safely lose weight and get back to what made him a monster. This slow, quickly tired Wilder wasn’t what got him to the pinnacle of the HW division. He should fire anyone who told him muscles = power. He still hits hard but it doesn’t look as hard. Fury’s weight gets some credit for absorbing the punches too and most fighters can’t slow him down with the leaning but Wilder might be throwing slower. He’s too bulky.

If we can get the lighter fast dynamic Wilder coupled with the mentality he had in the third fight he beats everyone not named Fury. Fury beat him mentally while Usyk and Joshua don’t really play mind games.

Yeah, the weight gain has done him zero favors. It's made him like a totally different fighter and for all the wrong reasons. If you thought his boxing ability was bad, now add in zero stamina to that. That is the new Deontay we've had against Fury for both his losses.

I re-watch Ortiz-Wilder 1 and Wilder was still very active and full of life going into the 10th rd. Deontay looked spent by rd4 in both of these past two fights. Really weird that they thought to keep him heavy but I think it was all to combat Fury's weight bully mentality. I think Deontay would of had a better chance weighing 215lbs (like he did against Ortiz), with that crazy speed, he'd have had a chance to land the right faster and maybe when Fury wasn't expecting it...

Though that is all heresay now and the fight is over. At this point, yeah, I want Deontay to lower his weight and take on just about everyone else in the division. He cannot be in a boring fight.
