Floyd and Roy Jones are not even comparable as fighters other then they are both top shelf. Floyd is way more grounded in the fundemental aspects of the sport and while they are genetic freaks Roy Jones was a more gifted athlete (imo) and leaned way more on his athletic ability.

If you are comparing Pacman to Roy Jones you may have a point~

Yes bro, I see it more as Floyd playing the JT role.

However, I don't see PAC and Floyd as clones of JT and RJJ, but they do have similarities in their way of fighting.

Obviously, Floyd moves around the ring more , has a better jab and maybe an even better right hand than JT, but that shoulder roll, that counter-punching, ya know what I'm sayin'.

PAC on the other hand, well, it's the way he shoots in n' out, punches from different angles and the sizzling combos that I also saw in RJJ.

Marquez is a much tougher fight for Floyd than Pacquiao is. The only thing that would give Floyd any trouble against Pacquiao is the southpaw stance, which he might need a round or two to adjust to. Once he does, he'll pick Pacquiao apart and toy with him just like he did to Diego Corrales.

The thing that Pac has to be careful of is his balance. He gets a bit off balance when he throws hard and I don't think that he can do that too many times against Floyd and not pay. The defense of both and the ability to adjust will be the biggest factor imo.

PACquiao ain't a slug like Diego was.

It's an insult to PAC to even mention Diego's name in the same sentence.

PAC is about 2-3 levels up to Diego's best years!! Please.

If you are going to compare Floyd to a fighter use B-Hop that is a much mroe accurate example. I could see Floyd getting out worked or out hustles especially as he gets older, but he will never take whippings like Roy Jones did because of his fundementals.

James Toney didn't have the dicipline of Mayweather and was already getting out of shape by that point, so that is a poor comparison also.

True that Pacquiao and Corrales have different styles. But the level of domination by Floyd will be the same. Pacquiao struggled twice with counterpuncher Marquez and some people think he lost twice. Floyd is a counterpuncher too except that he's a lot better at it than Marquez. Pacquiao is tailor made for Floyd, plus Pacquiao just isn't on the same level as Floyd athletically.
