many boxers say that cliche'd phrase, JMM is one of the few that has proved it time and time again

Nothing that happens on 24/7 is going to change my view of what will happen in the fight. Nothing either fighter says, no picture of their kids, no tearful reunion with their loved ones. Nothing. 24/7 aims for the heart, not the head.

What immediately came to mind when I heard that was Hatton saying a similar thing before his fight with Floyd. When Ricky was in trouble in the last round, a friend of mine quoted that line. "No way Ricky's getting knocked out! Before the fight he said that Floyd would have to kill him to beat him!" And then.......lights out.

He knows how big the odds are against him and is willing to do anything to come out with the win.
