What immediately came to mind when I heard that was Hatton saying a similar thing before his fight with Floyd. When Ricky was in trouble in the last round, a friend of mine quoted that line. "No way Ricky's getting knocked out! Before the fight he said that Floyd would have to kill him to beat him!" And then.......lights out.

Fight is a disgraceful mismatch. Death? I don't think it'll be quite that kinda beatin at all, and JMM will come to win. He's just speakin his piece as a warrior would. He knows what he's up against. War Dinamita!

He says he's willing to die in the ring but he's figuratively speaking as you all know. Willing to die in the ring, in boxing means you're going to do everything to win, you don't plan on quitting, he's ready to go to war with floyd and go out on his shield if it gets to that point. Gotta love Marquez, win or lose.

i think he's suicidal. he needs psychiatric intervention right now. he's danger to self and to others. clearly this is suicidal ideation that needs 5150'd.

                    muahahaha

I hate boxers who say shít like this. If he knew what death was like he'd think twice about making such remarks. It's not a tough or a big statement, it's moronic.

He has a family for fúck sake. If he thought there was a chance of him dying in that ring and still got in it that's just irresponsible and shows a complete lack of compassion for his family.
