Cheatings not cool, more hand-wrap is an advantage so one fighter doesn't hurt their hands during the fight or for future fights.

I know Caz, I'm just sayin during the man's active career, I don't recall much stink about this ****, other than the Bhop fight of course. Now all of a sudden, everybody cryin foul cuz it's a way to say 'well Marg ain't the only one.' Not attackin you for the thread homey, just sayin imo the whole argument is tired by now.

One guy was caught blatantly violating the established rules in attempting to hide PLASTER in his wraps.

Another guy has been alleged to have placed more gaze/tape on his.

How one case can be used in argument to justify or mitigate the other is beyond me.

If I were a judge, and this was a case argued before me, I would dismiss the case as frivolous, and personally contact the bar to have all litigators for the plaintiff censured.

No plaster-nothing to give him a huge advantage in the fight alas Margarito, Resto and such.

Hand-wraps were maybe wrapped TOO much or wrap poorely, but nothing that was illegal and very dangerous to the other fighter.

This was never much discussion or an issue UNTIL Margarito got caught and his fans wanted to point fingers back at the past at Tito's "handwrap incident" with Hopkins when the Cotto fans came and issued Margarito's win "suspect". Simple as that.

If anything illegal was found - Tito would have been suspended. Banned from the sport - don't you think? Don't remember a ban at the time, do any of you guys do?

I agree. And the way Tito's dad wrapped his hands is called Knuckle Forming. It's a unique way of placing the gauze over the knuckles in an overlaping fashion that actually makes them more prominent through the gauze. It's not ilegal, but it is worrysome to many boxers, who know that a hard hitter using this type of wrap can really make you feel it. And boxing trainer, Richardson, is the type of guy that really really watches what goes into the hands of opponents that fight his boxers, which led to the Margarito scandal. The "suspect" fight against Cotto, unfortunately will never be known, due to the poor handling by the boxing commision, but as far as Tito goes, no, I don't think he actually "cheated"...More like he optimized on whatever advantages he could, something that all boxers do (like drinking their own urine so as to re-ingest the expended nutrients of the body). Nuff said.
