I've heard that on almost every boxing forum I've ever been on and that is the reason I don't like the guy one bit. If its only a rumor then I would feel bad for hating him. Does anyone have any news article or know anything about this subject?
Is it true Tito cheated in his career with his hand-wraps?

Is it true Tito cheated in his career with his hand-wraps?
25Yes, their is some truth behind these allegations68.00%17No, he is completely innocent32.00%8Tags: None -
I don't think it was cheating. Some people complained that he used too much gauze, which isn't exactly legal, but it probably happens a lot more in boxing than you'd imagine. His trainer wrapped his hands and that's just the way he did it, probably to protect tito's hands.
Did it make a difference in his punches? Maybe, maybe not. -
Vargas is a moron though, I enjoy that he does that cam-show and he is very nice but he is not that bright. He said before he fought Tito that he heard that Tito does special **** with his hand-wraps, yet he said that his ppl never really were in titos locker room checking out everything... Kind of dumb that he would hear this **** but not bring it to his ppls attention.Comment

There is some truth to it. Hey Castro, I respect the fact that you weren't an ******* about your options.Comment

His hand-wraps didn't have anything illegal in them.
No plaster-nothing to give him a huge advantage in the fight alas Margarito, Resto and such.
Hand-wraps were maybe wrapped TOO much or wrap poorely, but nothing that was illegal and very dangerous to the other fighter.
This was never much discussion or an issue UNTIL Margarito got caught and his fans wanted to point fingers back at the past at Tito's "handwrap incident" with Hopkins when the Cotto fans came and issued Margarito's win "suspect". Simple as that.
If anything illegal was found - Tito would have been suspended. Banned from the sport - don't you think? Don't remember a ban at the time, do any of you guys do?Comment

There was nothing illegal in them, there was just like twice as much wrapping as you're allowed to have. hahaha pretty naive too. "If he did something wrong, he wouldn't been punished." Good for him I guess. Not getting busted. It just hurts his credibility among knowledgeable fight fans.Comment
