    interesting fight.

Tito has been dropped by guys like Campas and Alberto de las Mercedes Cortez(who Chavez KOed). Campas is eh probably the most Chavez-like opponent Trinidad faced, although thats a pretty big stretch as it is.

Trinidad had sick punching power, but honestly Chavez wasnt someone that got hit by left hooks often. Tito had a nasty right hand too, but his main weapon at 147lbs was his left hook.

I think most of this fight would happen on the inside, as Trinidad wasnt really the kind of guy that would be able to consistantly stay on the outside if his opponent wanted to get in. he could really crack at close range, but Chavez had very good defence on the inside, and lets face it, Trinidad mostly looped his shots one at a time on the inside.

in the end, I actually think Chavez could outhustle Trinidad on the inside, because the one real weakness Chavez had was against volume punchers. Trinidad, despite his power and the pressure he put on opponents, did not have a high punch output. I think Chavez could have picked at him with his shorter sniping shots on the inside and combinations, while evading and blocking Trinidads wider, more powerful shots.

still, its possible that Trinidad is simply too big and powerful a puncher for Chavez.
I wouldve loved to see this fight.

Chavez didn't posses the jab that would stop Tito in his tracks!!Tito is too big for Chavez, who is not slick enough to nullify the Trinidad offence!!Tito stops him in 6 in a brutal slugfest!!

We all know the type of fighter that could beat Trinidad was a DLH/Hopkins/Winky like fighter. Chavez is nothing close to those guys in terms of style

true, Tito has problems with fluid boxers, but Chavez's is style was tailor made for Trinidad, Tito just has too much power on both hands, but it wouldve been a brutal fight though

I feel like half the people commenting in this thread have never seen Chavez fight.

Trinidad has been dropped multiple times at close range, and Chavez had excellent inside defence, able to slip head shots and block body punches.

Chavez could have nullified Trinidad's power like he did with Rosario, who was also a massive puncher.
