Comments Thread For: Fury: Wilder Improved, Worked On His Boxing; Fight Was Much Different From First Two

LAS VEGAS - Deontay Wilder wouldn't shake Tyson Fury's hand following their brutal battle Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Wilder's lack of respect for the winner didn't prevent Fury from commending the former WBC heavyweight champion for improving between their second and third fights. The brash Brit acknowledged Wilder was a different fighter than the one he encountered during their first two bouts in December 2018 and February 2020.

Wilder was much better and the weight helped him until the mid way point when it became a burden,Tyson did well to put this one to bed

Wilder had too much weight. He should have been 220 tops.

The extra muscle and weight most certainly did not help Wilder. Fury still knew how to wrestle and lay his weight on him at times.

Wilder was too slow, and looked tired early on, although he jabbed well to the body in the first round. He wasn't accurate enough with some right hands, which tired him out further.

But yes, what an exciting fight. Sloppy at times, not the best skill, but a fun and brutal back and forth fight for the ages.

I think aside from a few small changes this fight was a lot like the second fight.

just wondering why uppercuts were not apart of his game plan..Fury leans after the jab anticipating the str8 right..how did they never figure that out?

Wilder got the same beating as the 2nd fight for most of the fight, although this time he was granted the highlight reel KO which he claims to have been denied in the 2nd fight.

I'm not so sure after watching the sickening ending a few times he will have preferred to be carried out on his shield.

He was different in the first round but once he got caught towards the end of the round he reverted to type as expected, credit to him though he's a warrior and a threat to most other guys in the division, who've not got the mental fortitude or chin of Fury.

The issues were size for sure but also some flaws in wilder’s boxing like pulling straight back and laying on the ropes, it does t help that he exposes his head while ducking under punches. He allowed himself to adopt a certain way of fighting and his handlers never bothered to keep him learning. I’ve always said that wilder limited himself with his wait to throw a right hand style

from what breland said, Wilder was too stubborn to learn a thing new. i’m sure he tried
