I really don’t see him fighting again. He made so much money and his whole persona and ego was defined by being champ and in the conversation as the best. Now it’s clearly proven he’s not.

I really don’t see him willing to fight in non title fights on PBC for a couple of million dollars. I think he feels it’s beneath him now, if I’m judging his mentality right.
I think he might retire myself, he’s earned a sh** load of money over his last few fights, the fire may not still be burning.

A Kownacki (or similar setup) KO followed by Joshua would still be my bet. Titles or not, that fight will sell big.

If he feels he has enough money then he should just retire now. There's no point trying to work the long way back at his age. And it would be sad to see him in gatekeeper fights.

Sadly, I think Kownacki will be a punchbag for a fair while yet.
Wilder vs Joshua is still a fight I’d really like to see. Both dangerous, both vulnerable, would definitely be exciting while it lasted.

At this point I don't think Wilder cares much about getting the most out of creating big events. He seems content with making good money against whoever Finkel feels comfortable with. I'd say take some time off and make 30+ million fighting at Wembley stadium next year against the loser.

I think certain guys like Usyk for example could definitely potentially beat Wilder too but Wilder is still a very tough fight for anyone in the division.
This is exactly what I meant in my previous post. I hope I'm wrong, but I think he is. And if he is, even the porkies would stand a chance to beat him.

He very well might be, he took a lot of punishment in those last few rounds and got brutally stopped. Many fighters have never been the same after that sort of loss.

Both of these are gonna need a couple fights with lower-level oppositions if they are to rebuild. They both are going to have to test the waters on how bad the beatings they have taken may have had affected them in the long run.

Helenius, whom normally I'd consider most beatable for Wilder (as he never did look impervious to getting caught by a crazy right hand), could be bad news for him right now. Too tall, too rangy, good power, can fight off the back foot, big enough to perhaps even try to emulate Fury's style a bit. Right now I'd rather see Helenius fighting the loser of Whyte-Wallin or someone like that for the WBC no. 2 contender spot or something.

the commentators mentioned Kownacki and his wife just had a baby, I don't want to see that kid growing up without a father. Kownacki blocks punches with his face, it will end ugly if he fights Wilder.

ruiz would have some buzz, good come back fight, but honestly wilder needs a few fights with scott under his best

OP is probably right. NYC is full of Polish fans of Kownacki.

Kownacki - Wilder is NYC is a big fight.
