Physics, man. Plus all that mass also means that different strategies are required for success. One of the reasons why the concept of P4P is so nonsensical.

seems to be a point where additional size impedes skill

Mike Tyson was the cleanest heavyweight I seen and only 5 ft 11 which is tiny for the division

Bigger talent pool and its easier to be quick, slick and coordinated when you're not like 250lbs.

Means nothing.

An ant has more finesse than an elephant.

The HW division is the only one that counts. The rest are Paralympics too allow physically inferior men to compete.
