Wilder vs Joshua in hindsight

Wilder badly lost the trilogy against Fury. but not without showing that he's one of the most dangerous HW's ever early and late in the fight, and no amount of beating will make him quit in that ring.

Joshua we now know is a front runner who also has a questionable chin, but more importantly does not have the mental strength on the level of Wilder.

How does this fight go back when when both were unbeaten and today after both are on the slide? Personally I see Wilder sparking him both times. Say what you want about his lack of skills, his talent is landing that right hand and never giving up on that mission. I can't see Joshua overcoming it like Fury did.

Fury's feather fisted, Joshua sparks him within 3. How long did it take Wilder to catch Szpilka? ffs lets not pretend Wilder has great accuracy.

Whoever lands the bomb first wins imo. Joshua has more power than Fury, he is more than capable of putting Wilder away. It would be a good shoot out, 50/50 fight.

I still think it would have been a good fight. Even though Fury just picked up another huge win and Joshua just lost it's important not to lose sight of the fact that Joshua does in fact have some attributes which are superior to Fury. As good as Fury is, his style and just his body shape do come with some shortcoming, mostly that his punches aren't the most accurate in the world and can be a little ungainly at times, it's somewhat inevitable just from the length and weight of his arms. The fact that Wilder lasted as long as he did can mostly be attributed to Wilder ducking down and Fury's shots looping behind his head and not landing properly, which then leads to the two getting tangled up. Joshua rarely has that problem, he's a lot more accurate and lands flush more often. If Joshua were to drop Wilder early on like Fury did in round 3 he'd probably finish him off then and there. That said it's also true that Joshua has none of Fury's resilience and not as much of his ring smarts, so it's also possible to see him getting smashed once early on and being finished off right then as you suggest. It's still not one I'd like to predict with any degree of confidence - in fact, assuming Joshua loses to Usyk, I still think Joshua-Wilder is still a pretty good fight to make while Usyk and Fury settle the undisputed championship.

Aj from around the time of the Wlad fight beats any version of Wilder. Too sharp, too good a counter puncher, he would have slipped one of wilders sloppy shots, put him on ***** street with a counter and finished him.

Current AJ vs Prime Wilder loses by ko, no confidence and Wilder would have the upper hand mentally.

Current AJ vs Wilder who has been murked x2 by Fury? 50/50 AJ is mentally wrecked, I dunno where Wilder is at but he's taken back to back severe beatings and been bleeding out of his ear both times.

I think they are fairly evenly matched overall.

60/40 AJ imo. Similar height/reach, both very vulnerable, both the biggest puncher each would have faced, but AJ has the better boxing skills.

Joshua got wobbled numerous times by a cruiserweight in Uysk.

Wilder will land eventually Fury couldn't avoid it and he has way better head movement than Joshua.

Still stand by the fact had Wilder fought Joshua instead of Fury Wilder would still be undefeated and the best HW in the world.
