Boxing standards have dropped so much

Tonight we seen two big sloppy stiff slow HWs who made Gatti/Ward look like two brilliant technicians. The fight was fun but so are brawling bare knuckle fights and toughmen competitions.

Fury and Wilder threw lunging slow awkward body shots, odd pushing jabs and held as much as they punched. Guys like Usyk, Chubby Ruiz, and Sanchez look like SRR compared to the skill level Fury and Wilder displayed tonight.

Wilder is 6'7" and the hardest puncher possibly in boxing history.

Fury is 6'9" 280lbs with arms like an orangutan

No they aren't going to be piroutting about the place like a 6'3 212lb Ali but they have a hell of a lot of attributes these smaller guys don't have.

That was probably the biggest in terms of weight, heavyweight title fight ever, unless Valuev fought someone over 250 at some point?

Effective doesn't have to be pretty, someone needs to teach Anthony Joshua that.

Interesting points but what are we basing Wilder being “one of the hardest hitters ever” on???

Name me one great Fighter Wilder knocked out? Because if we’re just going off KOs then Berlanga should be considered one of the hardest hitters ever too then???

sorry but the skill level displayed for two of the so called best HWs today was atrocious.

It was a mess and it perfectly represents this era HW.

I'm just basing it off what my eyes see bro, Wilder is a historically significant puncher, no we can't get a prime Oliver McCall in there to test the theory but his right hand is some scary **** bro no doubt.

Anybody that expects these huge guys to fight like Ali as just a casual and follows wrong sport.

              Exactly

I was also surprised to hear Kellerman cheerlead so hard for what he himself knows was a glorified thoughman contest. Kellerman sat there acting Like this was the greatest display of prize fighting ever.

Butterbean would have looked like Ali in there.

It's funny how you have the likes of Lennox Lewis, Foreman and all these greats saying that was one of the best heavyweight fights ever and that Fury is an incredible fighter but we still have forum posters ****ting on current heavyweight boxing and wishing for the glory days of Oleg Maskaev vs Shannon Briggs for the title.

I'm sick of hearing it from you idiots, the current division is deep and entertaining, and yeah there's a lot of unorthodox fighters in there but some of you need to learn that there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Fury gives ANY ATG heavyweight a serious headache, and beats a lot of them.

How many ''top'' HWs can you say are as sloppy as Fury and Wilder ?
