What a war we had last night folks. What a classic. One for the ages. One of those fights you feel blessed to have watched live, tv or in person.

Both fighters stock goes up.

Well said, well said! Wilder made it a fight. He had some success, to me that means he redeemed himself. Fury kept his composure, took the counts in and stayed the course. Tremendous show of heart... this fight really has shades of the Foreman Lyle affair. And the guy who was most exhausted? that ref... I think he did a **** up job of trying to let them fight inside, waiting til they could not punch out.

Things could have gone differently if -
1. Wilder had come in at 225
2. Wilder used his jab more
3. Wilder had kept up the body attack that was proving effective in the first round.
4. Wilder had kept his hands up instead of by his waist.
5. Wilder had learned to clinch when hurt.

These are all basic mistakes that should never be made at the elite level

You make some good points! I don't know how much things change but Wilder has always been so lacking in base fundamentals. My own feeling is that his body attack was a diversion to get Fury's hands down. His jab and bidding his time later, so that he could have spurts and throw good punches. I would have told Wilder after the fourth round, to stay away from Fury, and when he had his wind, just throw bombs... hit Fury anywhere.... Marciano style... the arms, the hip, anywhere. And yes to clinch and to practice defense responsibilty.

Wilder obviously has heart but heart can get you hurt. Wilder has power but keeps his hands too low and swings wlidly. Entertaining fight but clearly the better man won!

What are you talking about? Fury now has ONE title defence but still have only fought ONE top-10 Heavyweight in almost 6 years. How does that make him an ATG? An ATG at self-promotion maybe. Usyk only just got into the HW division and he has more belts than Fury....

I never said he was an ATG- I’m mocking people who say ‘if he beats AJ and Usyk he will be.’ He is the best heavyweight for sure . I’m convinced Wilder is or was the 2nd best. Your opinion may differ and that is fine . I can’t think of anyone that would have a chance against Fury right now. And trust me, I wanted wilder to win

Id really like to see this as well. Such a difference in styles and contrast in physical attributes. Both guys are tough as nails. I could see both getting drilled, dropped and getting up to do it to the other.

It's pretty sad when the formerly premier division, is so weak that even a bum like Fury can stand at the top. This guy would have been ended as a joke in the 90s. I would actually have given him props, but he acted too much like a piece of shlt leading up to the fight. I'm no Wilder fan, but I would rather have spit on him too rather than shake his hand after the fight.
Only a UK piece of trash finds the level of behavior acceptable.

Maybe. Maybe not. Wouldn't really know unless they step in the ring against each other. Wilder has reach and power but he isn't as skilled.
