    Jermain Taylor..what went wrong?

Before I start off this thread, I believe that ANY ATHLETE OR PERSON can redeem themselves from their past failures.

However, I tend to ask myself this question alot and I haven't gotten THE answer to it. So I'm going to ask you all...WHAT WENT WRONG WITH JERMAIN TAYLOR???

In hindsight I think that those two fights with Bernard took alot out of him...but let me know how ya'll feel.

Stamina Issues and fold under consistant pressure. Also has an inability to finish off a world class boxer when they're hurt.

You can't fault him for his heart and courage though, hes taken on only the very best fighters Joppy, Hopkinsx2, Wright, Ouma, Spinks, Pavlikx2, Lacy, Froch, Abraham and the rest of the super 6 almost all in a row.

What went wrong with taylor is that in about the 3rd round against pavlik he tired himself out...

if u think about it if tayler paced himself he probably KO's pavlik, then the MW division is completely different

You nailed it. He didn't start out his MW reign wit the momentum he was supposed to. He failed to decisively put the old man out to pasture and mentally has never been the same. He never did truly become the huge superstar he was groomed to become cuz of those 2 fights. Bhop took his shine away, even tho he got both decisions.

And as far as actual ring flaws physically, he got **** stamina and defense.

I commend Jermain for who he has fought. But you hit the nail on when because he just can't seem to finish guys when he has them hurt. He should have finished Pav and Froch...but as I said, I believe that any person can redeem themselves..I really hope to see him do it.

Stamina. That's his biggest problem, when you don't got stamina - in my opinion you're finished in the ring. You could have all the skills, heart, chin, but no stamina - no nothing. How do I know? Look at him and I seen myself in the gym when I spar. When I first started, my stamina was horrible and guess what? I got my ass whooped.
