Disagree with Arum. Even if we were allowed to travel from UK to Vegas, for this fight I wouldn't be doing it. We're all poorer since the pandemic and this is the rematch no-one wanted. If you can pay £25 to watch it from the comfort of my home, or for free through a hundred different illegal streams, you're not going to be paying £1000+ to fly over and watch it in person. Especially because it's going to be a repeat of what happened in their last fight.

I'm better off spending my money travelling to local shows, that have more interesting matchups, just 100 miles from my home.

      Do the math.

You just called out the bias that comes from these sort of articles and certainly the slanted comments that occasion them….

Deontay's added muscle is concerning for the reasons you stated. However on the other side of the coin, Tyson Fury is also very heavy, so both men's tank can give-out before the mid-rounds, the long layoff also may hurt, but with the increase in weight they both are transferring more power behind their punches. Conditioning is key.

you do know that the live gate generated for canelo vs Saunders was $9,002,920 , which is still less money than this fight is generating right??? Lmaooo. Nice try. If this fight was held in wembley, what kind of numbers do you think it’d do? Hint, the live gate would be way more. Better luck next time.

Even if the Canelo hail was more, it hat I took away from your post is that the response to this article and the article itself are both slanted. Wilder and fury have already set the record for a heavyweight title fight and even with a pace of that has rewritten social norms and how Americans view sports this fight will again sell well at the gate. I hope it’s a good night of boxing and I hope the sports world takes notice. Boxing in the USA appears to like when fury and wilder fight.

Again who had a bigger attendance??

Everyone knows those gate number are manufactured but you can’t FAKE the attendance.

According to PBC Tank is the “biggest star” in boxing and does the biggest numbers.lol

again not even close but keep trying.

I see it the same. Yeah travel is difficult during Covid but unless you are a Wilder fan hoping for redemption I can’t see how you have any level of excitement for this fight. Yeah, Wilder can absolutely stop Fury if he lands a bomb. He can stop anyone. But outside of that we’ve seen this twice and Fury dominated both times. I wouldn’t travel to Vegas to see it a third time.

                      Do the math.
Factor in inflation and it's pretty much a wash.

Given Wilder and Fury are much higher profile fighters than Jacobs and that a match-up of two high-profile fighters together tends to be greater than the sum of the parts, I think Canelo's rep as box office king is intact.

All said, the numbers for Fury-Wilder III are robust.
