Can Manny Pacquiao Surpass Sugar Ray Leonard in the ATG List?

He beat 3 of the best fighters in history, and Pac doesnt have that kind of competition to propel him past SRL.Comment

lets say he beats cotto then beats floyd, as a pac fan i still cant see him getting a better place in the ATG list. sugar ray beat everyone he needs to beat. benitez, duran, hearns, and hagler. skill wise, sugar ray is also better. pac maybe able to match up srl's resume if he beats mosleyComment

wow....r we really just talkin about pacquiao surpassing the great sugar ray leonard..
I cant believe the pacquiao threads these days..Comment

i think he still needs a win against shane to even dare compete with srlComment

how is it ridiculous when rating atg's are all based on opinions?.......he's being compared to hank armstrong who is the best to some and 2nd to many......pac is labelled as the arsmstrong of this era.....
ofcourse you will always find someone who will say nobody should be mentioning pac in a same sentence with hank and all that bs.....the thing is the ones who are giving all the praises to pac are mostly boxing fan whos seen many many fights like merchant and bert sugar...and you can say they prolly have something to do with the atg list also...Comment

Lets flip this for a minute. Are Barrera, Morales, JMM, Hatton or Cotto even top 50 fighters? Do they compare all time to Hearns, Duran, Hagler and Benitez? I've re-thought this and no, it isn't going to happen. Pac is great, He's just not Sugar Ray Leonard great.Comment

IF he were to KO Cotto, beat Floyd convincingly, beat Mosley, beat Marquez convincingly, then go up to middleweight and beat Pavlik (or Paul Williams, whoever is champ at the time) and then retire. Yeah he would be ranked higher.
Is that possible? Yes but nearly impossible odds.Comment
