if u are trying to do something and u are focused and refreshed and in a good frame of mind its just so much easier than if u are not, u also sleep better overall which is vital for performance i would say
now whether the coach actually achieves this is another matter, if something is stressing u out sometimes dealing with it is too much effort and maybe impossible, try something that has proven worked over evolution, get rid of it, out of sight out of mind, it works pretty good
