What if someone disagrees that said fighter didn’t “ earn it in the ring”?

I get that Rolly is getting over because he’s a haymon guy and this is the wba where haymon can manipulate things. If you’re mad about that, ok.

But don’t be mad that Rolly actually has created buzz for himself. Instead, you should be telling the guys you feel “earned it” to create buzz of their own so they get premium fights.

earn it in the ring = face and beat a top level fighter…take the risk, win a war in the ring..EARN the legit buzz! U think the Paul Bros have earned it in the ring??

I'm OK with this fight, but I still wanted Tank vs. GRJ! I don't understand how Tank vs. Rolly in L.A. is better than Tank vs. GRJ in the DMV? Well Rolly asked for this, and he got it! His weight cut is going to be brutal! This fight alone is not PPV worthy! They're gonna have to give me something special! Would be a great time for Fundora vs. Garcia, and/or Ruiz vs. Ortiz! Of course i want the best to always fight the best, but you said "the only way to maximize earning potential is to fight better opposition" which is false. Some of the "better opposition" are fighters people never heard of and would sell less than the Rolly fight. Rolly sucks, but at least he has some buzz to his name because of who he is outside of the ring. You've mentioned Russell Jr...think casuals know who the fooook Russell Jr is?

I think it’s important that boxers generate buzz anyway they can. If Rolly’s personality make people want to tune in, even to see him beat, so what?

Tank is from baltimore and gary is from D.C. plus the fact that russell and mayweather got lowkey beef. Thats a recipe for a great promotion. russell jr vs tank is a huge fight in the dmv. Tank vs rollie isnt a huge fight anywhere. Rollie isnt even a main event fighter. So dont tell me tank vs rollie is a bigger fight than tank vs russell jr because its not.

I do agree that boxers should fight better opposition, Russell in this case being better, but competition doesn't always translate into buys. More of the casual fans will gravitate towards Rolly than they would Russell

No I wouldn’t. The Paul bros are not professional fighters, they are celebrity boxers. Rolly is a legitimate professional boxer.

If you want more legitimate pros fighting rather than you tubers, I suggest you tune in when the real pros fight.

However the bigger issue for you seems to be celebrity boxers getting fights and dates that pros are not.

The Paul bros fans tune in when they fight. Maybe the solution to your bigger issue is boxing fans we should tune in when pros fight,
