Why is Wilder given a pass for issuing death threats and making cheating accusations without evidence?

In any other sport, he would have been suspended and fined.

He also would have been ridiculed by every major media outlet.

Yet this hasn’t happened for some reason.

Not a fan of Wilder especially the cheating bs but I like fighters to be savages like Iron Mike, Tank, Edwin Valero (inside the ring not when killing his wife)

We all watch boxing for savagery as much as the skills I'd rather hear "I want to kill someone" than "stay humble.. blessed"

Because no one takes it seriously except for a minority. It's the same reason why no one takes threats made by wrestlers in WWE seriously. It's hard to really say what is done for the sake of the fight and what is truly meant. We know that Wilder was genuinely upset that the towel was thrown in while he was still standing. The other things, however? It's easier to see it as some storyline to hype up the fight even more than to believe there's any truth to it. Wilder would have behaved differently had he truly believed the claims.

It really is the same as seeing a WWE wrestler threaten to kill another wrestler in front of everyone. Or say that so and so tried to kill me. It's all arguable designed to sell a fight and create a storyline for the fans to jump on.

Not really, there's was supporting evidence and lots of it going years back from the Hammer fight to a previous sparring partner to boar gate in the UK just to name a few and that all before the 2nd fight. If any major media outlet really got in to that, they'd be inclined to present all that supporting evidence to their audience if they're trying to be fair. But in the process they could be opening up a can of worms by p.issing off certain segments of their audience and possibly even put themselves on the hook for deformation lawsuits. It's not worth it. For a media outlet, that whole controversy is the exact type of thing they'd want to stay away from as much as possible. If I'm not mistaken a similar thing happened in the NBA, I think it was Lakers vs Kings in early 00's.

Wow why would he fight such a cheater then?

Because all the “evidence” came after the fact to make excuses because they didn’t have any evidence from the actual event.

Wilder getting passes? Tons of people have been roasting him about the death threats, but AT least he is being honest, saying that he expects the same to be done to him in a fight. As for the cheating accusations, why is fury, the wbc and the commissions getting passes for downplaying the accusations when it is clear as day and very suspect. There was no investigations, so it would look like wilder is "spewing BS". They never got to the bottom of it and swept it under the rug. What do you expect? You do know that boxing is corrupt. This is not rocket science.

People don't regularly die in pro wrestling though. Sure there have been accidents but all I can even think of is the Owen Hart tragedy when he plummeted to his death. And that was due to the theatrics and not the actual combat, which despite being choreographed is still obviously dangerous and hard on your body.
