Comments Thread For: New Persona, New Trainer, Same Result For Wilder in Fury III

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It's four days before a Deontay Wilder fight. But it doesn't sound the same. By this point in the fight-selling process the "Bronze Bomber" has usually issued an inappropriately chilling threat, suggested rendering an opponent lifeless wouldn't cause him to lose sleep, or at the very least proclaimed himself well on his way to undisputed heavyweight domination.

On September 21st, Regarding Joshua vs Usyk, "Fitzbitz says: Anyone who doesn’t see this as dangerous simply doesn’t know what they’re looking at. Usyk hasn’t been a heavyweight gem, but he’s skilled. Still, Joshua ought to win. Joshua in 10 (70/30)." Bold and underline added by me.

Now "Fitzbitz says: The Fury win in the second fight was so comprehensive that it’s difficult to envision it changing back to a Wilder win in the third bout. Here’s a clue, it won’t happen. Fury in 8 (99/1)"

Fury in 8 at 99/1 eh? I'll take those odds, Fitzy. Wilder was off from the jump before the bell even sounded. Who knows if we'll ever know the real reason why. So, don't base your opinion on that fight. I'm not making a prediction yet, but it sure isn't going to play out like the 2nd fight.

Definitely a pathetic, biased article. I don't like these 1-sided, agenda driven articles. People are so worried about what wilder should and shouldn't say. Wilder is focused on training more and less talking, clown. Just appreciate the fact that we are getting a huge, exciting fight for boxing.

These guys are really pushing for the IBO to be included as a world title. 4 belts is enough but I understand they're getting paid to push this agenda. Lame

I'm preparing for a rise in sea levels next week, due to all the Wildersexual tears.

Remember when Wilder called Fury weak for changing his trainer after their first fight? lol

I think Mr Fitzsimmons is going to be proven wrong come the fight. Fury is coming in too heavy. With Wilder he needs a big punch or two and that could be all he needs.

How is he biased? His observation is based on the last fight where Fury dominated. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to favor Fury.
