By Keith Idec - Deontay Wilder doesn't believe that Tyson Fury actually contracted COVID-19 before their third fight was postponed nearly three months ago. Fury assured BoxingScene.com during a recent interview that he indeed tested positive for the coronavirus toward the end of an intense training camp for another WBC heavyweight title fight with Wilder that was supposed to take place July 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. That was the second time, according to Fury, that he battled COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020.

I'm not saying that I don't think Fury tested positive, but it is odd that the NSAC didn't require documentation. That just seems like bad business on their part.

This is why this sport needs proper documentation and accountability. Where is the professionalism and integrity? Fury never had covid, joseph parker who joined him, never had covid and was seen at ufc events and public gyms. Joesph parker's actions exposed fury. Boxing is like a wild west where pretty much anything goes. No accountability whatsoever...
At my work, if I had reported sick and took a day off, I have to provide proof or I suffer the consequences.

To me it’s obvious he didn’t have covid and just used it as an excuse as he wasn’t ready for the fight.

“To the best of my recollection, the NSAC did not receive any documentation from the fighters that were scheduled to fight on the Fury-Wilder card,” Bob Bennett, executive director of the NSAC, told BoxingScene.com in reference to the postponed July 24 event. “Additionally, none of our ringside physicians administered a lab-based PCR test to any of the fighters on the Fury-Wilder card.”

The commission did their job. This Deontay Wilder is a looney believing in these 'conspiracies'.

Moot point since they are fighting

What I was about to type. Fury did not cancel. Who cares even a little? You know, everything that people hate about boxing is wrapped up in Wilder. Talk of bodying an opponent. Spreading lies about people. Being classless in defeat. Wilder has it all.

I would not be surprised at all if Wilder wins this. He seems the more focused of the two. He has been training for nothing else. He has the more explosive power. He is awkward. And I hope Tyson Fury beats him worse this time.
