I would give Gatti a better chance of beating Cotto than Harris based on their styles. I`m kinda glad the Mayweather fight fell through. i like Gatti and I want his handlers to prolong his title reign for as long as possible!

its gonna be an easy mandatory.
I already posted this on another thread.
If Gatti says there not enough time to promote a big fight between Floyd, how would there be enough time to promote a fight between Cotto or Harris?

I think Cotto's handlers would keep him as far away from a Gatti fight at this point in his career as possible. His chin was exposed to an extent by Chop Chop...and Gatti would more than likely eat him alive. Damn shame Gatti/Floyd fell through!!!

Their point of view is that Gatti/Mayweather would be HBO-PPV while Gatti/TBA would be HBO. Pay-per-view fights require a greater amount of time for promotion. HBO is just cable tv and is not pushed nearly as much as a pay-per-view fight.

I see what they are saying, and who knows when Floyd would come around and sign a contract. Main Events and Gatti want to get things rolling towards the June 11th date.

yea i was thinking that same thing as I was typing that. but you can't say Gatti-Cotto isnt PPV. If Barrera is getting a PPV to fight Fana, I think Gatti-Cotto warrants a PPV.

you're right though, a Gatti-Harris would be a great main event for an HBO Championship Fight telecast.

Hopefully Floyd will grow some balls soon. I NEED to see Tsyzu destroy that overhyped American wife beater.
