I was being sarcastic in response to a post that said Porter is essentially a gatekeeper for losing to Brook, Thurman and Spence. I was pointing out that every loss isn’t the same.

The triangle theory is the idea that if fighter A loses to fighter B and fighter B loses to fighter C, fighter C will automatically beat fighter A. An example of it not working is Joe Frazier beating Muhammad Ali and losing to George Foreman, just to have Ali beat Foreman

I know what the triangle theory is, I'm just playing. I feel Brook and Porter are of the same level. So I wonder why, if Brook was considered a poor defence, then why is Porter such a great fight for Crawford. So either the Porter fight is being over hyped or Brook was not being given enough credit as a credible opponent. I'm gonna go with the latter, as Brook was clearly holding his own until he got clipped. And I think Porter gives Crawford plenty to think about. But I feel Crawford wins. Not because of any triangle theory. Just because he's better than both.

I agree that Crawford wins, and Shawn Porter has proven himself to be a tough out at worst against the elite so Bud would certainly prove a lot by beating him. Brook may not be at his peak any longer but he’s still a good fighter. Not as durable post-GGG but still skilled.

Yeah good points. And to be fair Brook was seen as damaged goods because of the eye, and it didn't have a bearing in the fight. Was a good clean stoppage. Brook is broken know though as a result. It took his last confidence. Shawn still has this last great chance, but I think Crawford will be too much. Should be a good entertaining fight though.

Agreed. Both guys are looking to break through in a sense. Shawn is looking to finally get over the hump while Crawford is looking to justify his p4p status.
