Apparently their game plan in camp was to outbox Usyk. Firstly, that’s absolutely insane.

I can only assume nobody in his team had the guts to say “Look, you’re not a great boxer, no matter how much you would love to be and think you are. You cannot box with Usyk” and let reality set in and try to come up with a realistic game plan.

Im not sure how much difference it would make, I think Usyk is just a level above but at least give yourself half a chance instead of trying to beat him at his own game.

I think AJ is just as dumb as Wilder in boxing terms, absolutely living in fantasy land and refuse to accept their huge flaws. AJ still thinks he’s some slick ring technician. And both have teams that are unwilling to give them a dose of reality.

Wilder comes across as more outwardly ****** because of things he says, but they’re rather similar in their delusions about boxing, and their teams of backslappers.
You make a few valid points but i cant agree with this post even if i wanted to. I'm a AJ fan after all and nothing beats losing a fight because of spiked water, double agent coach, costume, and baby oil. Joshua is confused. confusion and delusion are two different things

It's the most fairly judged fight I've ever seen on British soil against a British champion, apart from Howard Foster giving him one round which he clearly didn't do enough to win.

115 113 is criminal. No way no how that's even remotely possible.

Great post! That there is exactly what the problem was/is imo.

Looks like McCracken will have to get a cycle of those confidence injections into Joshua before the rematch!

Seriously is laying on top of your opponent this acceptable? I’ve seen fury fans use the “lean on him” thing like it’s the super ability in a video game. You get touched up trying to wrap up your opponent. Sure, lower your hands and go for a hug on a guy who is even punching you through your guard because you can’t see the angle of the punch coming in. All that’s gonna result in would be AJ getting his face even more messed up. Like he’s supposed to just eat punches to then bed comforter on his opponent. I’m just hoping fury wins his fight and somehow gets this guy. It’s going to be hilarious watching people watching for fury to transform into a coat for Usyk to wear lol

”Tyson!! Lean on him!!! Wrap him up and jump on his back for a horse ride..it’s part of boxing”

Literally among the most bizarre tactics I’ve seen people praising this openly.

Why isn't John Fury in Tyson Fury corner during his fights?

Not allowed into the US because of his criminal record.

I remember the Ref gave the fight to Hatton. Which I was shocked because I thought he lost and
their were no judges scorecards. The ref decided the outcome, which in USA I have never seen.
