You are looney toons. Had Wilder been in there with the much smaller Oleksandr Usyk he would have knocked him spark out! You can't compare Usyk with a monster sized opponent in Tyson Fury who stands 6 feet 10 inches tall and is hopped-up on all types of illegal steroids and performance enhancing drugs.

Andy Ruiz Jr. Says 'Partying' and Weight Gain Contributed to Anthony Joshua Loss

According to Luke Reddy of BBC Sport, Ruiz admitted he failed to reach prime condition before the fight because of excessive partying and celebrating after his shock win over AJ on June 1 in New York. The Mexican tipped the scales 15 pounds heavier before the rematch, and he was dominated by Joshua for most of the fight.

Stop spamming an irresponsible excuse on the thread. He was in camp with Hunter and Hunter said it's a lie and the weight was a strategy for power.

Why do you lot make excuses for other boxers but disregard excuses made for AJ? Spence said AJ injured his right arm before last saturday's fight and it has been blacked out by everyone.

Ruiz won via a lucky punch and got outboxed in the rematch. End it there!

Mid fight I thought Joshua was doing pretty good and seemed to be getting some decent shots in. Last few rounds he just faded out and usyk seemed to up his game making the difference between them look bigger than it was early on in the fight.

I think as some have said Joshua would need to be more aggressive and willing to trade shots early on and work the body a lot more. I think unless he can get usyk out early or slow him down with body shots and using his weight advantage it will be another usyk points win

Joshua lost the fight because he has stopped believing in himself. He no longer trusts his chin or stamina which is why he was so reluctant in taking the necessary risks and chances in order to be successful in the fight.

When that happens a fighter is ruined. He becomes a shot fighter. He is not the same fighter anymore. That Andy Ruiz knockout must've really permanently damaged him.
Then what precisely is the purpose of even having cornermen if they’re not expected to do anything? AJ absolutely needs better coaching. He could be substantially better with many other trainers out there. His skills could be vastly improved and he could get much better instruction on fight night than “Brilliant, mate! Way to block that one with ye eyeball!”

Seems like didn’t watch either AJ vs Ruiz Jr fight. Lucky punch? Disgustingly overweight and slow on purpose?

Thing is, Wilder isn't liked. So when people assess his performances they're a lot less forgiving. Which, possibly, could be a blessing.

Damn it! The corner can devise the game plan but is up to the fighter to implement it and execute that game plan. Once a fighter gives up on himself then his corner has no choice but to give up on him. When a fighter loses confidence in his own ability to take a punch or to throw punches then he is done. He is finished. There is no amount of coaching that could bring him back from that. He has to believe in himself or he won't produce or commit.

Not that it's my place to judge Rob McCracken but I agree with John Fury. It was baffling to hear the instructions between rounds "stay behind your jab". He was handily losing the fight using that tactic already, it seemed obvious that AJ needed to march Usyk down, close the distance and let his hands go more.

I'm sceptical that AJ can win the rematch but it will be a lot more interesting fight if he changes his tactics up. I'm just not sure he's willing to risk being KO'd to try and KO Usyk after his experience with Andy Ruiz.

But that’s what great fighters like Usyk do, they stop your momentum. They start to sense the tide turning a bit, stop it and take over again. I don’t think it’s a lot about what AJ did wrong, he was just in with a much better fighter.

the difference was as big as it looked.

His corner kept shouting “beautiful AJ” ..”beautiful feet” while he was stood static getting cracked with straight left hands down the pipe

                      It was bizarre
