If Usyk is so good, why have countless fighters outperformed him against the same competition?

Ruiz beat Joshua worse than he did.

He sc****d by Chisora, who had 11 losses.

The Breidis fight should have been a draw and Gevor wrecked Breidis

Crusierweight sucks. The one guy who was good enough to challenge him to what should have been a draw got his asked kicked by Noel Gevor.

This has nothing to do with Terence Crawford lol. I have no problem with him being ranked above crawford.

How did one “ do better” if they both won? That is a casual fan way of looking at fights.

Chisora lost like 4 fights by SD or MD. Usyk won a clear UD.

He cleaned out CW by beating the other top 4 boxers and just dominated the unified hwt champ.

That warrants passing Crawford on the p4p list for now. We will all reassess after crawford v Porter.

Crusierweight sucks and so does Anthony Joshua.

He cleaned out the Cruiserweight division and just beat the consensus number 2 or 3 Heavyweight in the world while taking his 3 belts in a fairly one sided fight. Can’t deny the facts.

              You clearly didn’t watch Briedis-Gevor.

Usyk is good but I do not rate him as high as some people here want to.

AJ lost because he used the wrong tactics and because he fought scared. It is more AJ' fault that he lost than it is Usyk's brilliance that he won.

Floyd was considered so good but Pac outperformed him common opponents. People beat maidana more dominant than floyd. Best zab more dominant etc etc.

We aren’t equating Mayweather to Usyk are we?

Usyk hasn’t beaten one fighter as good as Diego Corrales yet.

I don't care much about comparison wins. Usyk would naturally perform less against heavyweights since he just got into the division. Even against AJ he looked small. The fact that he performed as well as he did against the larger champ does mean something. He didn't go down when he ate some shots or abandon his plan once he suffered that cut which bled into his eye.

I think he showed his boxing IQ at a high degree and it was awesome to watch. I usually don't care much for safety first fighters but Usyk was the smaller man and applied smart defense with very effective aggression against a powerful opponent. He didn't fight scared and even tried to go for the KO. Was a badass performance.

As others have said, he became undisputed at CW and now can do so at HW. That's astonishing in its own right if he can pull it off.
