A lot of fighters or most fighters take years to rematch a guy they lost to and get wins where the loss is swept under the rug . Because of the very low attention spans of media and abilities to troll or say dumb things they can get away with it these days . If Holyfield had lost that second Bowe fight no one would say much , in fact it’s funny they kept telling Foreman to retire multiple times because of the punishment he was taking and ignoring ignorance became the oldest heavyweight champion at 44 or so after he was clearly out boxed by Tommy Morrison ? Now we have a young champion 25 fights in or so and he should retire ? You can’t make this stuff up .

AJ needs like Virgil or Freddie as a trainer so he can get back to doing what he does best knockouts

I think issue with AJ is ability to change tactics through a fight, aka ring IQ. He goes in with a strategy, be it the right one or the wrong one, and he can't change from plan A. Given time and anaylsis post fight, he can go in and execute a different plan, but he's tied to it. If he goes in and plans to impose his size and strength more, he'll do just that, but he would risk getting Ruized again. Rematch would have little chance of going 12 and be a helluva lot of fun, could go either way.

I won't write AJ off, he still beats most but I don't see him ever being super aggressive, he's weary of being KO'd. Hopefully he changes but I've seen him buzzed too many times to trust him to go all out against the best. I'm fine with him boxing and moving, I love when fighters actually outbox their opponent but you cannot outbox Usyk at heavy so he better be willing to get ko'd to have a chance against him. Might as well do it, if you plan on fighting Fury one day.

I will give him that! (Then again, isn't that another sign of his lack of character? I mean, it would be normal to be pissed at being schooled in front of 80 000 of your fans, no? Break a chair or something instead of hugging Usyk's balls, telling him how great he is.)

He has a lot of mouths in his corner. He might need to do a sorting of the corner and possibly a good alpha trainer. Take him to Stephen Edwards, or McGirt. Someone who can help him utilize his gifts while being strongly motivating.

So ****in what....the guy believes enough in himself to get back in there and 1. Get his belts back and 2. give us another entertaining fight, one of the best Heavyweight fights and events I've seen In a long ass time actually. Who are we to say otherwise.

All I know is I wish we had more boxers with his mindset. He clearly gives two ****s about the possibility of a loss and all about giving us boxing fans the best fights/ show possible. That event was incredible and the best I've seen in a long ass time. Probably haven't been that pumped since Oscar vs Trinidad or Mayweather. As an American I wish we had a boxer of his mindset, desire and character to get behind honestly.

Lampley says that Usyk is a " southpaw Joe Frazier " . Huh ??? Joe Frazier was a bull dog knockout artist with crippling power. Usyk is a featherfisted heavyweight . Orthodox, southpaw, Usyk doesn't resemble Frazier at all. Yes, Usyk won fair and square . Quite easy actually. But hes not a " southpaw " Joe Frazier. Thankfully Lampley is rarely on any telecast anymore.

We all should've known Joshua couldn't out box Usyk. And it's been documented Usyk can take a shot. Yet it's the HW division and it only takes one. Do i think he can come back? It's possible. Yet outside of his physical fragility, he may be mentally fragile at this point. All we can do is speculate and usually we're wrong. Joshua was a great champ and he can bounce back. And that was a hell of a fight. He has to come back and win and try to get the Fury fight.

Usyk is a crafty skilled boxer with movement so Joshua won't be able to knock him out. He will derail Joshua's career with another defeat in the rematch. Sometimes we forget Usyk was a decorated amateur.
