He can try to act all Zen and philosophise about how everything happens for a reason but the simple facts are this. He doesnt have the mental capacity of a peanut. He would need to have the Rocky/Apollo "I'm afraid" beach scene in order to even think about winning a title again. His ego and the yes men around him will never let that happen. He exposed himself on Saturday after the fight. After realising the "undisputed" narrative was no longer going to work he instantly switched tactics to the " belts are nice but not that important" statement in order to keep the money train rolling. He is a marketable commodity and not much more than that. Even Eddie seems to have lost faith in him. I expect to see this between them sometime in the near future.

My main issue with AJ at this point is his talent and skill does not correlate with how much money he makes from the sport. He arguably makes more money than any other fighter on the planet but that's not based on his skill. And surely it can't be based on a wild and exciting personality even if he is a nice chap.
He makes about 10X as much as Usyk yet Usyk is at least twice the boxer. This makes AJ 'phoney' as you Americans say. It's kind of an injustice how big and famous he is.
