Ali is the Greatest but Usyk is the New Ali.

This past weekends fight with Usyk utterly dominating the Hulk of boxing AJ Joshua tells me Ali would have dominated vs this mammoth heavyweights of today.

Usyk who’s size is similar to Ali and with his boxing skills being able to dominate AJ shows me Ali could have and would have done the same to these behemoths of today.

I never saw Usyk fight much before Saturday but he made me a legit fan me. He was overly impressive. I love his weird and eccentric personality, his humbleness, and his skillful killer ways in the ring. He’s the legit real deal at heavyweight and the only one right now to possibly beat him is Fury. That fight will be a heavyweight high level chess match. Usyk has the mentality to overcome the size disadvantage, but Fury should win.

    I love Usyk.

He's not fit to lace Ali's boots.

Usyk is great but Fury is the man in the division and era as it stands, he beat the two longest reigning champs of modern times.

Usyk’s victory over a B level plodder like AJ doesn’t speak for boxing history and fantasy scenarios. He beat a decent but flawed and vulnerable fighter in AJ who had been stopped by fringe contender Ruiz.

That’s not knocking Usyk, he’s been one of my favourite fighters for years now, but beating AJ doesn’t make you top dog or comparable to greats at heavyweight . Fury is the real test in the division in this era. Joshua may have been commercially top dog but never in boxing terms.

Both are incredibly overrated so I see your point.

Down play AJ all you want but he was the real deal heavyweight with skill, albeit skill learned at an older age. He had good wins. He was a vulnerable fighter but a good fighter. If he had ever fought Wilder, IMO he would have beat him.

Fact is Usyk utterly dismantled him in every way. The way Usyk beat him, there is nothing he can do to change that in the rematch. AJ was able to adjust and do what he needed to do vs Ruiz in a rematch and regardless if Ruiz came in like a fat slob he still would have beat him if he was in “shape”. AJ is not overcoming Usyk, ever.

I agree Fury is the man. And he did beat two top guys, Wilder and Wlad. Even though Wilder was just as unproven and vulnerable as a fighter as AJ was. But don’t forget he was also roided out of his mind vs Wlad.

I think Usyk is a legit threat to beat Fury if they fought.

What Usyk did at cruiserweight wasn’t a fluke and what he did to AJ wasn’t any fluke. He don’t be surprised at what he does going forward.

Usyk is weird and eccentric enough to pull off anything.

Fury passed all the drug tests for the Wlad fight

the supposed failed test was supposedly before the Hammer fight that the UKAD only brought up a year later, and still never been proven to this day, hence why they had to come to an agreement to backdate his ban when he got a licence again, because they didn’t prove anything, so they couldn’t ban him when he got his license back . He never served a ban, he only never had a license for a while because he never renewed it. Same reason Hughie Fury never served a ban even though he was part of the same case, they never proved the failed tests in the end.

I love Fury as a fighter but he is way su****ious. He wasn’t a clean fighter vs Wlad. Boxing is so ***’d up the exception they make for certain situations is ridiculous.

Outside Godnelo, Fury is up there with fighters I pull for. But his accomplishments vs Wlad is su****ious AF.
