Because you can’t have it both ways. I think Usyk put on a masterclass, however I must be wrong if Joshua is so terrible all of sudden.
Which one is it? Was Usyk’s win impressive or is AJ overrated?

AJ overrated how? No one is saying he is the best heavyweight of all time LOOL
But he is certainly the most accomplished since the end of the Wlad era, and is a big, hard punching guy. Usyk dismantled him. -

What it is right now is people are caught up in hype and emotion and over reacting. I've had time to calm down and rewatch the fight and here's what I saw:
It was a really good win by Usyk in a good fight!
I had the fight DEAD EVEN going into round 9, going in to round 10 I had Usyk ahead by 1 but it was still all up for grabs.
Usyk took over in the championship rounds and closed out fantastically on a fight that had been very competitive up until that point.
The 12th was dominant, but this fight was not a 12 round schooling, there's no such thing as a schooling where the fight is still up for grabs going into the 10th round. The punch stats and both of their faces attest to this, they were fairly close.
Joshua would have retained his titles if he had won two more rounds, and he could have taken 2 of the quiet rounds by landing 2 or 3 more jabs.
So I say it was a high level boxing match between two excellent fighters and Usyk showed his superior ring craft, experience and stamina to close excellently on a very good fighter who had pushed him close for 2/3 of the fight.
That's the reality, that's what it is.Last edited by Frankie Coffeecake; 09-27-2021, 06:15 AM.Comment

Boxing fans are idiots to not even cite rematch clauses going into effect. This wasn’t even a dominance by Usyk, but a good winComment

Usyk didnt exactly go in there and beat Lennox, but it was much more a display of his quality than AJ being bad imo. At this point I dont even know who is supposed to be overrating AJ either, it must be the most casual of casuals.Comment
