To be honest, Joshua needs a dogfight in a rematch

Close distance, high risk fighting. That is probably his only chance and a very little one. Even jab - jab with a lot of clinching ( Wladimir Style) won`t work.

Joshua must make things very ugly, it must be Fury -Wilder 2 fight style. But that is a great chance for Usyk to stop Joshua. But you can`t get it without any risk.

Joshua is a challenger now, he must go for all or nothing if the rematch even happens.

Bet he’s close to 18st in the rematch, he has to go back to doing what worked before he decided to be a “technical “ boxer, yeh he was a big stiff robot bodybuilder, but it was working, just be bigger and stronger than the other guy and bash it out ( he is bigger and stronger than any of them at his real weight). The Ruiz loss really messed with his mind, he’s never recovered.

He'll gas out and get pieced up even worse if he does that.

Only thing he could really do differently is go to the body more imo. He did it a little in this fight and it seemed to be working okay but he didnt fully commit for some reason.

I think Usyk is just too good for him and AJ doesnt present enough stylistic problems to compensate for the skill gap.

AJ needs intelligent pressure on top of letting his hands go instead of an ugly brawl to even stand a chance. He has to use his size /reach advantage, utilise more clinching that was absent in the fight. He is not going to outbox usyk, and straight up brawling is going to tire him out, and usyk will pick him apart once he is tired. I don't think he can even replicate derek chisora's style against usyk as AJ is just not that type of fighter. AJ is not brawler type of fighter. He is more of a boxer/puncher.

I think if AJ makes it a war he gets knocked out but he did hurt Usyk so he could get in there 1st. He isn't going to out box Usyk cuz he's just too nimble and fast for AJ. Joshua can't afford him the time and space.

He hasn’t got the durability or stamina for a dog fight and most of all he has no confidence in his durability to even try it. It takes balls.
