any fighter that comes along ko'ing people will be over rated by some, thats how things work, most people say, yeah hes doing good now, lets wait and see, most end up over rated actually as most end up losing or getting gift decisions in the end
Why does Joshua have to be overrated?

Overrated he's not but probably not elite as some had hoped. When you consistently fight the best, especially a gifted boxer like Usyk, you're bound to take an L. Like another poster above me said, cream always rises to the top.
All I know was we got treated to a spectacular event and fight last night. From the ringwalks, intros to the fight, everyone at my house last night was in awe. I hadn't been that pumped for a fight, especially a Heavy in a long time, as we're my guest. So instead of ****ting on a guy losing to one of the best boxing technicians of this era, let's just appreciate what he brings to our sport, win or lose.

Exactly. Fury has fought 2 threats his entire career, and it took 2 attempts to beat Wilder. Wilder himself has only fought 2 threats (if Ortiz is one), was out on his feet in the first Ortiz fight then drew and lost against Fury.In fairness to AJ and I am not a fan but people talk about his losses but the thing is if your favourite fighters wasn't divas and fought the guys they were supposed to they'd likely have losses and probably some damn embarrassing ones themselves. Tbf to him he at times did a little better than I maybe expected but the cream always rises to the top.
Just like Usyk will eventually lose, it happens when you're continually fighting the best opposition.
Yes he was overrated but he is still a top 3 HW & not particularly anymore vulnerable or less skilled than vast majority of the other top HWs out there he just, unlike them challenged himself.
If I was AJ or a part of his team I'd have straight up avoided Usyk at least for a few years.
Wilder and Fury are king of the fantasy matchups, at least AJ took on all comers to keep his belts and tried to make fights with both Wilder and Fury. Only the most biased fanboy would claim he ducked them when he clearly didn’t - the contract to fight Fury was signed until Fury conveniently remembered he’d actually signed a rematch clause with Wilder.

If this was said as something new, then that’s one thing. People have called him overrated forever. But Usyk displayed a will to win and nobody can suck the life out of that.

I don't know, maybe it's because Covid ruined so many good fights lately, but I really enjoyed usyk vs JoshuaComment

I’m noticing the laziness of AJ. He fights to the abilities of his opponent. He tends to sleep during some of his fights. I believe he will win the rematch. He never had a sense of urgency with Usz.Comment

Joshua was an overall very solid heavyweight. I think the “styles make fights” really applied to that fight. AJ might be great beating 99% of the best, but there is that certain style that will be his kryptonite. And that can be said of any fighter.Comment

People are going about this one of two ways. It’s either:
- Idealise Usyk to make AJ’s loss more acceptable.
- Discredit AJ to avoid giving Usyk credit.
In a nutshell AJ was overrated by many but is still unquestionably a good HW. Usyk was underestimated as a HW by many and he proved them wrong with an excellent performance last night. Boxing fans are gonna be boxing fans though.
