AJ is a great sportsman to be fair to him. This is how defeats should be handled. He competed and he came up short. That should be fine. It is fine to me. It wasn't like he was even bad. He made an in fight adjustment and I thought he turned the tide by Usyk found serious levels.

It is only around boxing that the narrative around losing is so bad particularly as AJ only fights top 10 fighters and most of his career he has learned on the job when in against elite opponents.

I dunno just a weird set of fans in general. I saw Callum Smith getting pretty much unanimously positive reviews for a highlight reel KO of a fighter he was just never going to lose too.

No wonder why we get so many crap fights.

Aj has exactly the right mentality when he loses. He wants to get better. Doesn't blame, flu, fake gloves, heavy costume or whatever. That's why I like him and he fights top-10 opponents almost every fight. Fury and Wilder make a lot of noise to distract from the fact that they barely fight anyone in the top-10.

I think AJ needs to come in like a proper HW for the rematch. ****** to lose weight, lose power as a result and try to outbox a genius boxer like Usyk. He needed to use his size and weight to steamroller him. He basically took away all his natural advantages. Chisora did a better job in many ways by acting like a genuine HW. If AJ thinks he can learn to outbox Usyk he has no chance.

Do people think Usyk will show up for rematch? He said he wants to spend time with his family. Kind of implies he doesn't intend to be at HW for long.

And yet the guy with all the excuses is heading back in a third time...having to go through surgery, arbitration and a delay to do it.

Joshua's appeal has always been to the Garden variety mediocre idiot. The kind of takes words and empty gestures as a sign of substance. Joshua is all talk. to be fair to joshua he does make it sound like hes read one of these self help books and actually made it work for him instead of an exercise in frustration like it is for the rest of the readers

plus he did come back and beat the last guy who beat him

so lets see how it plays out, maybe he can work on a few things, make the next fight a dog fight and make off with a slightly dodgy decision, its happened before and will again
