Usyk would likely beat Wilder more thoroughly than he beat Joshua because AJ is a much more sound and responsible fighter.

Joshua's gameplan - a defensive war of maneuver against a smaller, slicker fighter - was inexplicable, except if (a) his people expected that, as long as he didn't get beat up too badly, he'd be gifted the decision or (b) he was damaged psychologically by the Ruiz KO and can't handle getting hit in the head. Think it's probably a combination of the two. (Usyk didn't seem to have a lot of mustard on his punches, but Joshua got discombobulated every time he got hit upstairs.)

If his head is on straight, he could win a rematch by being a size bully: basically reverse the way he handled the two Ruiz fights. But if he's gun-shy now he should probably just retire and enjoy his wealth and fame.

No one wants the rematch but they will probably do it anyway, next time Joshua is getting KO'd.

Yep, I don't think Usyk sparks him out, but ref stoppage is highly likely.

Ah I catch you. Still a bit harsh though haha. Joshua does have a bomb of a right hand, but agreed, not Wilder level. AJ is sort of like a jack of all trades but unfortunately a master of none of them. I really think it's a mentality thing. As someone just said, you just don't see that kind of pit bull like mentality from AJ, especially when he needs it most. I guess he just about showed it vs a fading Wlad, but that's the only time I think.

Yeah, Joshua has real power in combinations, but what I was saying was it's much harder for Joshua to turn the tide in a fight with pure power, as he is not a one punch master, he is a great combination finisher, whereas Wilder could lose every round to Usyk, and still have that one-bomb chance, just as he does vs Fury, he doesn't need to land a 3-4 combo, just one mistake and he could land. I always felt that Wilder was all wrong for Joshua, still a fight I'd love to see, so what if they are 3-4 in the division if that's the case, still an exciting fight. I'd be massively intrigued by Wilder vs Usyk, one-punch power and the size advantage, vs the skill of Usyk. Nash out.
