Cotto has the skills, even though he's still gunshy (Margacheeto?) (lol). and can adjust wonderfully to most speed prone fighters (mosely, maliggnagi, Judah). He's proven that only bigger stronger ww's give him problems, which up until now he's miraculously gotten through, and I'm sure his semi-average counterpunching skills, along with his great jab, might make the difference in this fight. Besides, until I see manny's chin truly tested by a puncher with Miguel's awesome power, I won't be convinced he's the full package. If he can withstand that kind of power coming up from lower weights, then I give him his props, and he's truly the #1 P4P King of the ring...until then, he's just a great boxer with a 50/50 chance of getting KTFO by a bigger, stronger and very skilled (although again, I say gunshy) Welterweight. Nuff said...

Perro..one shot knockout power is considered awesome power...guste o no dawg. Manny's punches are combination based knockouts (except Hatton's, that was unearthly) (lol), but Miguel has knocked out many opponents with one punch body shots, and devastating ones at that..no need to get nasty bra, just enlightening yoiur darkened perception of things. lol...it's all good in the end.

I don't buy any of this **** that Cotto is on the slide. After a beating by Margarito he got back up and brushed himself off and did no less than people expected against Jennings and then he took on one of the best and more durable Welterweights in Clottey and won. Nothing suggests to me that he's past his best.

        I think he'll KO Pacman.

I am scared for Miguel Cotto's health versus Pacquiao...

I just got finished reading an article in the RING magazine about Cotto perhaps being on the slide, and I pretty much agree with it 100%. After the way in which he got the W over Joshua Clottey, I think Cotto should have used the long layoff from his cut wisely, let Pacquiao and Mayweather face off then pick up the pieces with a comeback at the end of the year against softer opposition in order to gauge where he stands. Stepping in as a stay busy fight for Pacquiao while Pac waits for to see the outcome of the PBF-JMM fight is not a good strategy.

The thing that worries me is that Cotto is alot more durable than Hatton, the amount of damage he is gonna take could be career ending and life changing. Also, Bob Arum makes me ****ing sick. As soon as a fighter who has been loyal to him throughout shows any signs of wear and tear he immediately feeds him to his biggest draw for a quick buck. Sickening. I fail to see where Cotto is gonna go after the devastating loss that is heading his direction, I will not be surprised if he doesn't even have it left in him to challenge again for a title after this one.

I don't think Cotto could beat Pac even after the Mosley fight. His defense is just... bad. Pac is going to have a field day on his cut prone face if he doesn't work on his defense. Now that Cotto is on the slide.. I can't imagine any scenario where he could possibly win unless he pulls a Margarito and wears plaster fists.

yea he doesnt have the power to hurt cotto. like a flash knockdown hurt e.g hatton.

but i think what they're trying to say is he can fcuk up cotto's face and do damage with his work rate. cotto aint fightin no amateur boxer. if pac doesn't put down the other boxer, he usually mangles the other boxer's face with cuts and bruises.

lol every good lookin boxer who fought pacquiao stepped outside the ring a little bit uglier than pac. no hate, its just the truth.
