Dirrell is Froch's mandatory, therefore he has worked his way to where he is. Before Froch faced Taylor, Dirrell's competition trumped Froch's level of comptetition. Dirrell will win this fight, too bad the oddmakers already know this and that is why Froch really isnt the favorite.
My Prediction: Froch Vs Dirrell

Dirrell will try his best to hold all night and get disance, he will try not to do what Taylor did but I am definately not counting Froch out I actually favor him, just think Direll will fight a very safe fight. -
Froch was #1 contender for the WBC strap, and wanted to fight to title holder at the time(Calzaghe) but low and behold, Calzaghe didn't want to fight him, so don't make out Froch tried to take the easy route because unlike most Brit fighters, he doesn't take the easy route. He's fighting his madartories like he's supposed to, and will fight any man who wants to step up to the plate. If Pascal wanted a decent paycheck, he had to fight Froch in England - That's just the way it is, same with Dirrell.Froch hardly deserves commendation for accepting a world title fight in his hometown for a vacant title against a man (Pascal) who avoided Edison Miranda out of fear for his life.
Froch's competition level before that fight certainly was not "unheard of". Maybe "par for the course" is more like it. Robin Reid and Albert Rybacki were corpses. Hell, Reid had been KTFO by the pathetic Jeff Lacy more than 2 whole years prior and had a comeback that had consisted of a close win over a Contender series scrub. The Russian guy showed up for a check, didn't put up a fight, and has never fought since.
Unheard of? Not by European standards.
Froch wasn't given anything either.Last edited by Chunk..; 09-08-2009, 03:30 AM.Comment

carl froch is not a big puncher, trust me. his power is overrated..BUT his actual boxing skills are underrated. he isnt just some wild brawler, he is a very rangy, unorthodox fighter with a good long jab, he is quite slow, but his timing makes up for it. he uses his left shoulder to block right hands and he uses his right hand to block left hooks, jabs etc. his chin is also overrated, yes it is solid but not as strong as say a librado andrade chin etc. he can be wobbled and dropped like we saw in the taylor fight. and onto his fight with dirrell, this fight will play out nothing like the taylor-froch fight at all. dirrell is a completely different fighter than taylor. dirrell uses the ring to his advantage, unlike taylor. he is also faster, less easier to hit and packs more of a punch than taylor. he also throws feints well also. i have dirrell winning this fight by UD. but froch has more experience so ill still say there is a chance of a late KO say dirrell's experience plays against him.Comment
