    My Prediction: Froch Vs Dirrell

Despite what people claim about Froch being a "Hype Job" nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, Froch did everything the hard way, before his fight with Pascal he was taking on tough opposition in Europe and was pretty much unheard of. To win his title he fought a young, hungry and talented fighter. His first Defence wasn't even on british T.V and it was against Jermain Taylor. Froch won this too, but didnt get any credit for it.

Dirrell on the other hand is pretty much the websters definition of "hype job" A guy to whom everything, including this title shot has been given on a plate. He has been set up with fighters tailor made for him, (short, plodding and slow with poor stamina) and has never once fought a real fighter. He has been put on the canvas before but that has been hushed up and swept under the carpet.

Dirrell is a child in my eyes, a spoilt brat who is going to enter the ring with a man against froch. If Dirrell can beat Froch i will congradulate him on coming of age and registering a great win. I don't see it though, instead i see a simmilar story to Calzaghe/Lacy, that of a scared looking figure getting destroyed and losing his manhood in front of a hostile crowd.

    Prediction: Froch KO7
Dirrell is Froch's mandatory, therefore he has worked his way to where he is. Before Froch faced Taylor, Dirrell's competition trumped Froch's level of comptetition. Dirrell will win this fight, too bad the oddmakers already know this and that is why Froch really isnt the favorite.

Dirrell will try his best to hold all night and get disance, he will try not to do what Taylor did but I am definately not counting Froch out I actually favor him, just think Direll will fight a very safe fight.

Everybody has pretty good observations so far. They matchup rather well, I would say. Really looking forward to this fight and the whole tournament as well.

Froch's competition level before that fight certainly was not "unheard of". Maybe "par for the course" is more like it. Robin Reid and Albert Rybacki were corpses. Hell, Reid had been KTFO by the pathetic Jeff Lacy more than 2 whole years prior and had a comeback that had consisted of a close win over a Contender series scrub. The Russian guy showed up for a check, didn't put up a fight, and has never fought since.

Unheard of? Not by European standards.
Froch was #1 contender for the WBC strap, and wanted to fight to title holder at the time(Calzaghe) but low and behold, Calzaghe didn't want to fight him, so don't make out Froch tried to take the easy route because unlike most Brit fighters, he doesn't take the easy route. He's fighting his madartories like he's supposed to, and will fight any man who wants to step up to the plate. If Pascal wanted a decent paycheck, he had to fight Froch in England - That's just the way it is, same with Dirrell.

        Froch wasn't given anything either.

Dirrell is going to run and pot shot all night. He's going to make the fight very boring.

My other prediction by the way..........

After Dirrell has been beaten up and knocked out, he will look at his other opponents in the super 6 and unfortunatly develop an "injury" and go back to fighting bums in america.

carl froch is not a big puncher, trust me. his power is overrated..BUT his actual boxing skills are underrated. he isnt just some wild brawler, he is a very rangy, unorthodox fighter with a good long jab, he is quite slow, but his timing makes up for it. he uses his left shoulder to block right hands and he uses his right hand to block left hooks, jabs etc. his chin is also overrated, yes it is solid but not as strong as say a librado andrade chin etc. he can be wobbled and dropped like we saw in the taylor fight. and onto his fight with dirrell, this fight will play out nothing like the taylor-froch fight at all. dirrell is a completely different fighter than taylor. dirrell uses the ring to his advantage, unlike taylor. he is also faster, less easier to hit and packs more of a punch than taylor. he also throws feints well also. i have dirrell winning this fight by UD. but froch has more experience so ill still say there is a chance of a late KO say dirrell's experience plays against him.
