Size definitely matters, even Loma could not over come the bigger and very skilled Lopez

so a big meal before the weigh in caused a 15 pound increase in his fight weight just 6 months later? Highly unlikely. I’m pretty sure plenty made a big deal about that weight gain prior to the start of the fight. If anyone was at a disadvantage with training camp for the first fight it was definitely Ruiz. Arguing otherwise and blaming the media is ridiculous.
Ruiz was training for a big opponent,AJ had never fought anyone like Ruiz and sparred only 2 weeks for him with a lot of media distractions training in Miami as well ,so no it is ridiculous to state Ruiz was at a disadvantage he had been trying to get the AJ fight as soon as Miller dropped out and was in training so it was AJ who had to actually make short term adjustments .
Posters said how great Ruiz looked and how size would help him bully AJ the story changed as Ruiz was easily out boxed just like it will change after tomorrow when he defeats Usyk .Last edited by REDEEMER; 09-24-2021, 12:13 PM.Comment

A fighter of Ruiz size can easily fluctuate 10/15 pounds also he wore extra clothing at the weigh in .

Comparing Valuev with Joshua is ridiculous. Valuev was one of the slowest heavyweights ever and he wasn’t nearly as athletic as Joshua, nor did he hit as hard, nor did he have the skill set of AJ.Comment

Problem with this fight is Usyk doesn't have heavyweight power. People think AJ has a China chin. Fact is, maybe it's not the best chin but he gets hurt by " heavy handed " guys. Ie, Klitschko , Ruiz. Both of those guys could whack. Both of those guys had heavyweight knockout power. Usyk doesn't have that heavyweight knockout power. My feeling is AJ will walk thru this guy. He'll feel out Usyk for a few rounds, realize Usyk can't hurt him, then he'll attack. Usyk will feel AJ's heavyweight power and succumb. I wouldn't be surprised if he quits . And honestly, I'm not an AJ fan per say. I respect his skill level and I believe he's a legit heavyweight champ also, but this is just a really bad matchup for Usyk. AJ in 6Comment
