      etc.

Hopkins dislocated shoulder IMO is a more serious than a "rotator cuff" injury.

not to mention, Hopkins uses his shoulder to block punches....and continued to do so against echols.

Ali's jaw was broken, he continued to fight.

These guys are real fighters. Doing what they get paid for.
A torn rotator cuff is way more serious than anything that is broken or dislocated.

One was Koba Gogoladze, and the other was Jorge Lacierva (check spelling). Gogoladze, I thought, was tough as nails, but he quit inbetween rounds, and I'll never view him the same again. What the hell is going on with our fighters?? It used to be damn near unheard of for a boxer to just quit! It's a shame!
Gogoladze was taking a beating and had no shot to win the fight. Why continue to take those shots, when by ending the fight he will be back to fight another day. How can any of us criticize other professionals, i do not see you in the ring with any of these guys. While I agree when you reach a certain level it takes guts and heart to compete, but those guys dont have them and thats why they have no belts, but they still reached that level which is more than we can say.

              It makes me sick,

And I like the guy, but he should be forced to fight Byrd, or

              removed from boxing.

Forced to fight byrd? byrd doesnt want none of vitali

Who did Joe Frazier quit against? Certainly you can't be talking about the Thrilla in Manila. Joe wanted to continue but Eddie Futch said enough was enough.

I can't say that Oliver McCall quit on purpose. I'm no head shrinker but that looked like a nervous breakdown if I ever saw one. Can't blame someone if their mental faculties have left them.

What about Jack Johnson? He quit against Jess Willard. He should be on the list.

with all due respect runsw/knives, you cant rip on Fraizer for that, his corner stopped the fight. Youve gone over the sanity line with that one, but the knife and mask look good on you.....Rockin'

                    any others to add?

To this list of "great" champions?

Are you referring to Joe Frazier as a quitter because of what happened in Thrilla In Manila?...because if you are, it was actually his cornerman who stopped the fight...Frazier vehemently wanted to continue. Or are you speaking of a another fight that he quit that you know of?
