        This 'quitting' seems to be becoming a bigger and bigger problem now days! Just last night 2 (two, for real!) different fighters quit while getting beat, and it's so disappointing. One was Koba Gogoladze, and the other was Jorge Lacierva (check spelling). Gogoladze, I thought, was tough as nails, but he quit inbetween rounds, and I'll never view him the same again. What the hell is going on with our fighters?? It used to be damn near unheard of for a boxer to just quit! It's a shame!

            Chill on Frietas, if he didn't quit, he could have died, or ended his career that night. Should give him all the credit in hte world for stepping in the ring with Corrales.

            I made a bucketload on Corrales that night tho. Not many believers...everyone though Freitas was gonna KD his ass 5 times or something.

              I have ten times the respect for Wladimir Klitschko, as opposed to his quiting brother. I can see how people give him due credit, he deserves it for not quitting.

              I like Vitali Klitschko. So much that; if he lost the rest of his fights by knockout, I would still enjoy watching him fight:

              he needs to do 1 thing however;

              Beat Chris Byrd by not quitting the fight.

              That is a F%cking disgrace to fighting, hence his name "quitali".
              I think the main thing that bugs me is when they make up some excuse for quitting. Just admit that your being whipped and dont want any more! Last night one of them said his hand hurt..well, Gatti fought 8 freaking rounds with a broken right hand, and won it too! I understand if youre seriously hurt and can't not only fight the way you usually do but cant defend yourself either, then yeah, stop! No sense in getting seriously messed up. But, when the going is rough, and you just dont 'want none'...damn, dont quit and make an excuse! It's hard to look at them the same when they do that.
              Sure, I'm not a fighter, so it's easy for me to say that, but I'm just not used to seeing them give up that way..not at all!
              I agree that Vitali needs that rematch with Byrd, badly. But, I dont think that Byrd is gonna do that!

                  See, that is the other side of it, right there! Sometimes it's best to quit, and come back stronger if possible. I guess I'm just against those that dont really appear hurt and still quit and make some lame excuse as to why. It's a double sided issue, at the least!
