Plant did show that he is in the epic Ginger's head. You have to follow the subterfuge here: NOBODY!!!! Not even boxing royalty like bread, CRITISIZES the epic Ginger!!! Like the cult of Roy (Jones) when Jones was winning, you existed to worship the ground these god-men walked on and do little else. People are being put out on the street for even suggesting that Plant might make the fight interesting! its worse than when Handsome Oscar De La Hoya fought and my wife and her female friends, would make me and the boys sit in the back!
So here comes Plant who refuses to worship the epic Messican Ginger and has the nerve to state "The emperor has no clothes" or in this case "you muddafcka!" To me that act right there, vis a vis, how Plant makes Canelo all too human... along with boxing analysts who have experience, logical thoughts and integrity, who tend to do the same... means he is getting to the epic ginger.
People get caught up in titles... And they forget that Canelo has looked very fallible in many of his fights. In fact, the judges seem to also think the epic ginger can do no wrong, but then we see triple G, Lara and Trout, who all could have been declared the winner against the "unbeatable" Canelo.
Plant doesn't give a flying Muddafck if Canelo looks dominant hitting him in a press conference. Plant is also a champion, with confidence, skills, and a style that gives him a decent chance against the epic ginger if he plays his cards right. Plant has watched his mother murdered because cops cannot take a knife from a women, he has grown up in an area with shiat everywhere, a community destroyed by Oxicontin, Meth, etc. He isn't buying the the infallibility of the epic ginger. I don't blame Plant. Canelo is drunk on his own koolade. This kind of nationalistic BS that his team pulls, it alarms me frankly. And I always laugh when people talk about titles, like they matter... It matters who you fight. And when you see great middleweights like Lamotta who were able to upset the apple cart of the great Ray Robinson, it puts things in perspective.
Canelo arguably got by triple g both times... and Ward defeated the real version of Kovalev who would have slugged it out and not tried to box against Canelo. Canelo is an insanely good fighter, but there are levels to this lol. insanely good is behind a few levels... and I don't care what alphabet soup you unify.
