true it wouldnt matter if it was a 13. 1 wins 7 rounds, the other wins 6 with a knockdown it will be a draw.(for 15) . if both win 6 and theres an even round theres a draw (for 13)

I think they did some kind of study suggesting that most injuries occur in the 13th-15th rounds. I could be mistaken but probaly for safety issues
