Rick Glaser (I know, I know) is the origin of the rumor I think, but it's a credible rumor the RingTV and Boxing247 have also covered. Champions League Soccer overperformed for Paramount+, driving way more subs than expected, so CBS has been looking for more sports content to add to the service. They moved Inside the NFL from Showtime to Paramount+ a few months back.

Showtime and Paramount+ are both owned by CBS, so there wouldnt be the conflict of interest that was there when Haymon was splitting PBC across Fox and Showtime.

We'll see if CBS is really interested in putting up the cash for PBS however.... Haymon doesn't appear to have a ton of options, but he's surprised us before.

If Haymon can get a deal with cbs then more power to him though I would rather see boxing have a network option rather than be purely cable, app, PPV based. Boxing has got to put big fights and entertaining matchups on network tv

They are going to try to sell a 15-1 odds BS fight for 80$. Canelo has been hidden on DAZN for the last 3 years in fights no one wanted. Tens of millions are going to have to be spent on marketing for it to have a chance at being a success.

Good, I hate listening to the FOX's broadcast and the presentation and feel for these fight cards is just much better on SHO. CBS can promote the fight on NFL Sunday's the same exact way FOX can.

Glaser was not the first to mention this, this was mentioned back in January or February. But yeah, that's been the rumor for a while. If FOX picks up the last year of the option, then obviously the Paramount deal (if it happens) will have to wait. If FOX is going to have the fights they have had though, then there is no point of them being in the game. SHO's cards have been much better top to bottom all year long.
