I have been saying for years that Redhead should have never left the PPV model. From Sugar ray Leonard to Mike tyson, Holyfield, ODLH, Pernell, Julio Ceasar Chavez, Bernard, Paq or Floyd, HBO and Showtime was the place to be. FOX does not have the knowledge of Showtime or HBO of how to build a PPV fight. Stephen E does. Get rid of DAZN and Fox and everything on Showtime (PBC and GBP) and ESPN (TR)Oldskoolg likes this.

They are going to try to sell a 15-1 odds BS fight for 80$. Canelo has been hidden on DAZN for the last 3 years in fights no one wanted. Tens of millions are going to have to be spent on marketing for it to have a chance at being a success.

Of course I'm sure Haymon tried to Parlay this Canelo vs Plant fight into a Long Term Deal with Fox and rightfully so but I guess FOX just not interested. I think they see the numbers and see that boxing is just not that popular enough to make that big of a Investment into it. With Showtime
Showtime and especially Espinoza been extremely loyal to Haymon and PBC so yeah they should get the big Fights over Fox. CBS is the #1 Network In America so they can Cross Promote on Multiple Platforms just as well if not BETTER than FOX so hopefully they Promote Canelo vs Plant on CBS as well as all of their Platforms. ViacomCBS owns a lot of stations since that Merger and have a much bigger budget since that Merger so I'm happy for Espinoza. He getting that last laugh over idiots who said Showtime would be out of Boxing 3-4 years ago yet they still here and has rolled out the best Schedule of all the Networks and Apps this yearLast edited by sicko; 09-19-2021, 10:10 PM.Oldskoolg likes this.
