    Pacquiao tried.
    Broner tried.
    Chris Algieri tried.
    Lamont Peterson tried.
    Andre Berto tried.
    Victor Ortiz tried.
    Luis Collazo tried.
    Brandon Rios tried.
    Tim Bradley tried.
    Robert Guerrero tried.
    Hell...even Mikey tried.

    But...someone I can name...would rather whine than try until forced to actually try by the title org.

      Best case scenario Porter channels Victor Ortiz energy against Berto in 2011 and shocks the sport.
      More likely he has some good moments early but gets beat. If Crawford stops him that would be impressive.

          I'm definitely interested in the outcome of this fight. Crawford's whole career hinges on it.

            Bud's first relevant fight in the WW division. Lets see how he does. Not sleeping on Shawn. May the best man win. I know Virgil Ortiz and Boots Innis will be watching.

                  Shawn used a feint and Errol bit, Spence got the cross to land on Porter, but 'Showtime's' T-Rex arms could not catch Spence clean as Errol stumbled back against the ropes. Shawn had the right idea, but his physical limitations hindered his plans.

                    I think Porter’s direct, forward moving style is tailor made for Bud. I don’t see this fight going the distance. After this match, the real question is Spence and how serious the eye injury is. That’s not something you want to mess around with.

                      Crawford is the one with everything to lose. The pressure is all on him.

                      Porter's already shown that you're not getting out of a war with him and you're certainly not going to be the same fighter after you do get in there with him. Look at the pattern.

                      Bone. Broner. Thurman. Berto. Granados. Swift. Formella.

                      Every last one of these fighters went on the decline, after going to war with Porter. Spence's accident got in the way, so we don't know how that fight affected him.

                      All but one (Berto) have rock solid, tested chins, and Porter remains the only fighter able to get a straight up knockout against Erick Bone in one of his best performances. Crawford has been rocked similar to Berto, but to date he's not faced anyone with significant enough power and battle-tested experience to test the chin properly. This will be that test, because if Porter lands that lunging hook, I think Crawford goes straight down.

                      Only Ugas has seemed to get actually better from the experience, but Ugas's weakness is a defensive fighter. He excels against fighters that come after him, which is the ONLY reason that Amir Imam (Don King) got all three judges to score for him. Every other fight he lost has been close and disputed - kind of like Hagler.
