He said in 2 years but still. Maybe it's his fighter that's y he's talking madness. Sorry for not knowing if that's his fighter or not I don't pay much attention to Berlanga.

I don't think so. A technical boxer is the one with a better chance. Not a puncher. The Mexican has a great chin and imo, Morell Jr. is closer to a big fight than edgar, with a much better chance to outpoint ginger. Be safe.

If you’re the same size or smaller and not more athletic, imo you aren’t beating canelo. Maybe an awkward dude like Andrade or Benavidez could make it close but not likely..

If not that, then it would need to be a bigger guy. Marcus Browne or Bieterbiev possibly.

Joshua Buatsi in a few years maybe.

Thats a very non committal endorsement. Berlanga is talented and has nice power. But what will happen when he jumps up a notch? Boxers have to go through a whole bunch of opponents probing for weak spots, looking for a blue print... Its like my lovely wife! When I build something, maybe I'm not even quite done, she will immediately proceed to use it aggressively, innocently looking at me as she "tests it"... if it falls apart, well back to the drawing board.

Some fighters have a Waterloo battle date stamped on their forehead. Nando (Fernando Vargas) was fed up perfectly en route to fighting Tito and Oscar, but Tito kind of ruined the kid. Oscar really finished him up. Broner was going to become the next superstar, but his power did not carry up and people grow... So much can happen in two years in the boxing universe. I would implore any member to look at tape of some of the fighters we are fans of... Morrison as a prospect, Ruddock before he became a one punch fighter.

Berlanga looks good because he is a talented fighter, but also because he has yet to step up against guys who could be a threat.

Berlanga's only had one real fight the rest were sparring sessions. He's green as heck right now , no doubt he should improve a lot 2 years from now. I could see him fighting Benavidez in a 50-50 fight but Canelo? Na he's to far ahead

I will wait to see Berlanga beating at least some gatekeeper guys before claiming he beats elite fighter.

                    Bivol is bigger than canelo.
