Hey, I'm only telling you what Triller execs made public earlier this week, 30 million dollar challenge to the MMA slayer Jake Paul to fight Vitor Belfort. And by the way, I like to see a washed Mixed-Martial-Artist get paid 400K for a 2 minute round MMA exhibition against a 60 year old ICE-MAN Charles Liddell or Randy Couture.
Belfort will NEVER earn $30 million boxing. That kind of money is only made by the best in the sport. He only earned $400k to beat up Holyfield. The max he may get from the purse and PPV sales of that fight is $1million.

Goofy MMA fruits, UFC and Dana White suck Jake Paul's and Triler execs balls.

Lol from the 4 none Conor PPVs that have available numbers they've generated roughly 2.4m PPV buys, and theres 3 more PPVs that dont have public numbers. So having your biggest star fighting more than once in a year for the first time since 2016, generating 3+ million buys from his two fights (two of the top 5 biggest selling PPVs in UFC history) , PLUS generating millions more from other PPVs, AND having 4 more PPVs scheduled for this year....is them doing badly? compared to when and what?
You're not exactly filling me with confidence that you know what you're talking about here. From "mix-martial-arts" to white belt instructors to lethal nut shots executed in a wall'n'stall situation where you'd have no leverage and kicking distance is about 3x further away than their nuts would be.
lol, you assume all Mix-Martial-Arts Gyms offer world-level BJJ/Wrestling/Kickboxing from former UFC champions in every town. I bet I can walk in a random MMA gym and win a couple fights against the white/brown/purple belt 'instructors', that got E-certified. I bet if you go to a high-school and recruit the kids in sports-teams that sit on the bench for most of the season, and take them into the average MMA gym, they beat the crap out of most of the nerds that are trying learn to defend themselves.
You MMA fanboys live in a meme
And why would an MMA gym be full of nerds trying to learn to defend themselves? dont you think thats unlikely since MMA is heavily competition oriented? they're more likely to be going to wing chun or krav maga where they dont spar, dont need to be in shape and "learn" teh deadly techniques that you just claimed would work. I have never ever seen a nerdy MMA gym. Traditional BJJ has more of a geeky stoner cult image but no-gi/MMA BJJ is very different and a lot more athletic.
In all seriousness you should go friendly spar or something just for the fact that you would realize that a lot of these theoretical ideas about eye gouges and nut shots etc probably wouldnt work 99% of the time because body position, weight distribution, leverage, control etc etc just wouldnt allign properly for it to happen. You might also develop more of a technical appreciation instead of thinking it was sloppy savagery or whatever it was you called it. In reality its deep as **** technically.
Apples to oranges. Holyfield was getting full blast punched in the face standing, Toney was being controlled on the ground for a bit and made to tap to a choke. Even if Toney hadnt tapped it wouldnt have caused much damage, he would have just gone out and the ref would have stopped it within seconds. Like I said, he could have taken a sustained GNP beating with elbows and **** to cut him up, and he could have had his arm or legs put into a submission instead, and if he hadnt tapped there the result would have been a lot more long term than the choke.Last edited by TMLT87; 09-16-2021, 01:18 PM.Comment

Dana White should be ashamed of himself for the cheap purses he pays UFC fighters! Tyron Woodley just made $600K for his fight against Jake Paul, he never made more then $150K when he was UFC 170lb champion.
White is just criticizing these fights to divert attention away from the cheap pay he gives his fighters for the beatings they take!Comment

Lmao btw, I just looked the article up. Ive actually seen it before.the story was done by SMC marketing( look up SMC Marketing and the UFC) which is one of the top marketing firm's in the nation, mainly helps companies with their marketing, but their bread and butter comes from doing research for investor's and advising them if they should invest or not.
I especially like this part..
"Lack of UFC Stars
Star fighters generate headlines, drum up interest, and suck in fans. People want to see winners who are exceptional at what they do, and the UFC is sorely lacking in this area. In 2016 alone, 7 champions lost a fight This is a huge problem! Remember, champions Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre were instrumental in generating growth for the UFC in the early 2000s while Ken Shamrock and Brock Lesnar were huge stars who ****** in fans with them"
Ken Shamrocks UFC record is 7-6-2, Brocks is 5-3, and GSP and Anderson werent in the UFC in the early 00s.
Such a reputable source lol. Not only that but the article is years old too.

I don't put much stock in Triller, That kind of money was reportedly generated for Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather, but it's Mayweather, and Showtime ran it. Jake Paul vs Vitor Belfort, $30 million? Who's going to pony up for that?

I enjoy seeing a fighter develop, too, and have followed a lot of boxing careers in the past. They all culminated in master vs master, but that's not what's happening today. Careers, today, stagnate and if they ever fight (Brook, Khan) it's well past their physical peak (Canelo, GGG, Mayweather, Pacquiao) and it's even worse today where it's become rare to see more than 2 title fights a year - and no COVID has nothing to do with this, it was **** match-matching before and after C19.
I'm a boxing purist, I find value and enjoyment in talent being refined against subpar competition and gradually polished up through world level, that is how you cultivate excellent skills and become a master pugilist. The developmental process is a delightful experience that only the well-informed and those of particular taste can appreciate
You need to revisit MMA. The game is leaps and bounds from what it used to be. In fact, the talent gets better every year. There's no more lay and pray, which put me off watching it for years. You get stood up now and the majority of fights are exciting. The difference just between 2018 and 2021 alone is staggering. I liken it to how boxing began - it was crude and basic to begin with but with time fighters got better.
Dana White pays his fighters fairly. That's all that matters. Whether Vitor was paid a billion dollars for a boxing fight is neither here nor there. In the end, the Vitor Holyfield fight wasn't worth $10 and was disgraceful. Also, fighters know what they're getting themselves into when they pursue a career in MMA or boxing and if they've squandered their money on lavish lifestyle they have no one but themselves to blame if they can't afford medical bills. NO ONE is going to step into an octagon if they're not being paid well.Dana White is a scoundrel btw, disgraceful that a pioneer of MMA Vitor Belfort can potentially earn more money in one night in a boxing ring, than he has made in his whole career, go share your thoughts to families that have loved ones in a comma, that cant pay their medical bills. Grow up, this is real life.
You seem to take pride in Vitor being paid millions for an abysmal fight, like it's a win for boxing. It's not. It was a crap boxing fight and the public were fleeced, and just another nail in the coffin. Boxing is dying, and people like you are still gloating, "But our fighters make millions....". See if that lasts another decade.

I wouldnt go that far. It does evolve rapidly compared to most sports but the most dramatic developments were in the 90s, then a decent amount of evolution in the 00s too, the last decade or so its been mostly refinement stages and an increased (particularly outside of the traditional MMA heartlands) talent pool adding more depth, with the occasional new thing like calf kicks getting big all of a sudden. The top 00s guys would not be out of their depth at all in the current UFC, by the 2030s they might look archaic though, we will have to see.
I think they are still slightly underpaid but its not as bad as its made out to be. People dont realise that the average pay has increased a lot since the UFC first started really blowing up in the mid 00s too. Anderson Silva was making way more in the twilight of his career losing all the time than he was when he was dominating. There are guys today making more money by themselves than the whole fighter payroll of PPVs in the 00s ffs. There were no millionaires in the sport until Brock got there.

By the end of the decade I expect there will have been another leap. It wont be the bat**** money that a tiny handful of boxers get, but I think the standard will be low seven figure for champions.Comment
