But my only point is the fact he doesn't let his guys go make real money outside of UFC outside of Conor.
Silva would have made alot for that fight probably the amount of 4 or 5 UFC fights

With the Conor/Floyd thing, I think Conor just got too big to be controlled. Stylistically Floyd is not the type to just blow straight through someone and knock them TF out either so that loss wasnt gonna look as bad for Conor.

I mean can you imagine if Silva had actually gone and fought RJJ? he had looked superhuman on the feet in MMA, nobody could lay a glove on him. In a boxing match with even that version of Roy the roles would have been reversed and he probably would have been stopped by the middle rounds. It would have badly damaged his aura and marketability even though its a different sport.

But I agree Conor got too big, it's the exact same way Brock has become with Vince McMahon.
They both eventually changed their dictator rules with these guys and let them do whatever they wanted

I like how they title the story, Dana White ERUPTS!! Like anyone is scared or cares about Fat Dan. Danny boy should be erupting about how he screws his fighters and robs them blind, or the fact that retired fighters have to ask permission to do business, like he owns them. Maybe he's blowing up because of that story about how UFC is not doing as well as it used to, and those investors who invested in this company at a ridiculous 4 billion dollar evaluation, are not seeing any return and their patience is running out, word is that, current value for the UFC is 300 million, but some investors think it's more like 150 million, regardless it's a far cry from 4 billion, maybe danny is feeling the pressure.Last edited by Greenfield02; 09-16-2021, 10:46 AM.

The UFC fighters are paid enough to live luxuriously, but not so much that they become divas who can afford to put off fights for years. The idea that Dana doesn't pay his fighters well is a myth.
You can call White a dictator all you want, but he's a benevolent one who actually gives the fans what they want.
UFC right now has the best fights to watch. No other combat sport can claim that top contenders WILL fight every month for a title, and in between these monthly events, there are Fight Night events where fighters from the top 15 duke it out to be in the next main PPV. You're lucky if boxers fight the best every 4 years, let alone every year.
As long as there's people who defend boxing's current set-up because it pays well and fights need to marinate, believing themselves to be business-savvy, boxing will continue to rot.KiwiRider likes this.
