Good to hear that Chagaev's coming back, the hw division needs the talent that he brings. Hopefully he'll be back in action soon...

He's still rated the fifth best heavyweight in the world by The Ring. He would still beat Valuev, Ruiz, and many of the other top 10 heavyweights. He won't ever be the #1 but he'll be a top 10 fighter for several more years if he wants to be. And the Klitschko defeat won't have done him much damage - he was never badly hurt in that fight, he was just outboxed.

[QUOTE=BIGPOPPAPUMP;6038805]Ruslan Chagaev’s new trainer Magomed Schaburow assures that he sees a bright future for the WBA heavyweight ex-champion who has already mentally recovered from his recent failures in the ring. [details][/QUOTE too many injuries, too much inactivity,& that drumond gift win from german judges didn't do him any good.I said long ago chagaev is an old 30.he'd got $ & won a world title I said he'd end up dissappearing like sultan ibragimov & liakhovich.I was right.new trainer or not he just doesn't have the fire anymore.I can't see him beating another top 25 fighter again.I know he's high ranked still but he hasn't won a significant fight in what 4 years? I'd like to see him comeback strong but the drumond fight was the beginning of the end in my mind.he was a solid fighter but I believe he's lost the desire.

I am sure he will get a shot at the WBA title after Ruiz.

Someone needs to let Ruslan in on a little secret....

there's no shame in losing to Wladimir Klitschko. There was never any other possible outcome.
