Jeff Horn "wanted" a rematch. Crawford ducked him.

Jermell Charlo (Champion) "wanted" Crawford to come up to 154 and fight him. Crawford ducked him.

It doesn't matter what a fighter "wants". It matters what a fighter NEEDS.

Crawford has not earned a shot at the big dog. Even now. He NEEDS a big name in their prime. He ducked all other options and tried to duck Porter, but the WBO wasn't having it.

Should he beat Porter by any one of the three criteria I said before, he will have earned that shot. Only then.

1. Clean, clear knockout - not a low blow, not hold and hit, etc. Clean, clear knockout. As in "Put to bed" or force Porter to a knee or his back for a 10 count.
2. Clean, clear stoppage - Kenny Porter tossing a towel, Shawn not getting off the stool between rounds, or Shawn is bloodied and so damaged the ref reluctantly stops it. Not that BS Benavidez stoppage. Not that BS Brook stoppage. Not a low blow like Khan. Not a windmill trigger ref stoppage like Horn. I'm talking a legit stoppage that NOBODY can question.
3. Dominant decision - at least 9 rounds. Damn near a shutout.

Because you call this guy a #1 P4P. That's what P4P fighters do, is the 3 options above. If he can't do any of that and just eeks out a win, he's just another fighter and he won't be able to sell a Spence fight OR a Manny fight. He has to STAND OUT, bro. Porter is going to make Crawford knock him out....

This is what I'm thinking. That aggression I expect from Porter will create some openings for Crawford that other Porter opponents leave on the table.

I know people talk about how Crawford gets hit too much but it's because he's such an aggressive fighter, especially when countering. He punches with his opponents and in-between their shots so he will get caught. I just think the way Porter constantly loops shots with his head down will be his demise.

why aren't people acknowledging that when Spence fought Brook, that Brook had to move back down TWO weight classes, he was coming off a loss AND an injury?? Do really think Spence fought the best version of Brook?

It goes to show how good Spence is because Brook was a seasoned,Spence absolutely wasn't ready and had no professional big fights under his belt. He served a beat down and it would've been the same results if Brook had no injuries.

Just around the Christmas holidays, Porter said he wanted the fight, but that he should not be “low-balled,” that the $1 million on offer was just that, a low-ball offer. Word got back to Bob Arum, and recently, in speaking with boxing video site Barbershop Conversations, Arum made it clear he will not be upping his offer.

“I read some place that he felt that I insulted him by only offering him a million dollars,” Arum said in reference to Porter. “I’m old fashioned, I don’t know why a million dollars would be an insult to anybody. Nice try but your quote does not prove that Arum made two offers to Porter, that he declined. What Porter said was "...to even begin at $2 million is an insult..." He didn't say they offered him $2 million! Plus he's correct! Brook was a washed up former champion, who was fighting at 154 for 2 years b4 fighting Crawford! Porter just lost his WBC title in 2019, in a unification bout w/ Errol Spence, and that loss was by SPLIT DECISION, not by KO like Kell Brook!

So again, I ask you, show me where Bob Arum made 2 offers to Porter, which he declined!

Crawford was not going to fight Porter, if the WBO did not threaten to strip him of his title. In fact, I read he was going to fight David Avanesyan.

It may have been the other way around, bro. Last time I checked, Bob offered Porter how much? $1M?! I can only imagine Terence wasn't going to get much more than that. Let's not forget Crawford's contract was ending and we ALL know how Bob gets when a fighter's contract is ending.

He'll offer you the fight you want but you have to sign an extension...and it usually gets down to the wire before it happens. It happened with Julio, Donaire and a few others. Most guys find themselves shelved for not taking another fight with an extension attached to it.

We've heard Terence make several comments about Bob over the past year and Bob has made his share of comments. I'm sure it was all over money.
