I don't give a damn who he "wanted" to fight.
Vergil Ortiz (Champion) "wanted" to fight Crawford. Crawford ducked him.
Keef Thurman "wanted" to fight Crawford. Crawford ducked him, then BoMac lied about it.
Mr. Gary Russell Jr. (Champion) "wanted" to fight Crawford. Crawford ducked him.
Jeff Horn "wanted" a rematch. Crawford ducked him.
Jermell Charlo (Champion) "wanted" Crawford to come up to 154 and fight him. Crawford ducked him.
Blair 'The Flair' Cobbs "wanted" to fight Crawford. Crawford ducked him.
It doesn't matter what a fighter "wants". It matters what a fighter NEEDS.
Crawford has not earned a shot at the big dog. Even now. He NEEDS a big name in their prime. He ducked all other options and tried to duck Porter, but the WBO wasn't having it.
Should he beat Porter by any one of the three criteria I said before, he will have earned that shot. Only then.- Clean, clear knockout - not a low blow, not hold and hit, etc. Clean, clear knockout. As in "Put to bed" or force Porter to a knee or his back for a 10 count.
- Clean, clear stoppage - Kenny Porter tossing a towel, Shawn not getting off the stool between rounds, or Shawn is bloodied and so damaged the ref reluctantly stops it. Not that BS Benavidez stoppage. Not that BS Brook stoppage. Not a low blow like Khan. Not a windmill trigger ref stoppage like Horn. I'm talking a legit stoppage that NOBODY can question.
- Dominant decision - at least 9 rounds. Damn near a shutout.
Crawford and Spence are clearly 1 and 2 at welter and unless Crawford loses to porter, its THE fight at 147 no matter how hard you try and discredit Crawford.ShaneMosleySr

I know people talk about how Crawford gets hit too much but it's because he's such an aggressive fighter, especially when countering. He punches with his opponents and in-between their shots so he will get caught. I just think the way Porter constantly loops shots with his head down will be his demise.Zodogg likes this.

Porter is made for Crawford. he will be aggressive as usual, he will try to maul Crawford.
But Crawford has better skills than Spence, Thurman or Brook, he will counterpunch Porter and stop him in late rounds.ShaneMosleySr likes this.

Shawn Porter Wants Terence Crawford Fight, But Arum Won’t Budge On His $1 Million Offer
January 17, 2021 by James Slater
Who will Terence Crawford, 37-0(28) and coming off a straightforward win over a faded Kell Brook, fight next? Assuming the big fight we all want to see, between Crawford and rival welterweight champion Errol Spence doesn’t happen (and nobody is holding their breath), the list is pretty thin. A fight with Manny Pacquiao aside – this being a fight Crawford really wants – there might be just one exciting fight option out there for Crawford this year: a fight with Shawn Porter.
Porter, as tough, as exciting, as all-action as he is, is never in a dull fight. And “Showtime” does want to fight Porter. The problem is money, as is often the case in this sport. Just around the Christmas holidays, Porter said he wanted the fight, but that he should not be “low-balled,” that the $1 million on offer was just that, a low-ball offer. Word got back to Bob Arum, and recently, in speaking with boxing video site Barbershop Conversations, Arum made it clear he will not be upping his offer.
“I read some place that he felt that I insulted him by only offering him a million dollars,” Arum said in reference to Porter. “I’m old fashioned, I don’t know why a million dollars would be an insult to anybody. He should work a deal with me on upside. I’m not guaranteeing more than a million dollars, I’m just not, not in these times.”

Bob Arum On Crawford Vs. Porter: ‘Who’s Going To Pay For It?’
May 25, 2021 by Albert Craine
Terence Crawford’s promoter Bob Arum says he’d like to put a big fight together between him and his #1 contender Shawn Porter with the WBO, but he questions who would pay for the fight.
If Arum’s Top Rank company took the risk and came up with the money themselves, it would be a gamble. Arum said recently that he’d lost enough money on Crawford’s fights to build a house in Beverly Hills.
Would boxing fans purchase tickets in high numbers to see the Crawford vs. Porter fight, and would they be willing to purchase it on ESPN PPV? “We could make a big fight vs Porter, but who’s going to pay for it?” said Arum to The Athletic. “There’s a limit to what I can get out of ESPN. And on PPV… Crawford’s never done anything on PPV. Nothing against him. It is what it is...”Arum states that WBO welterweight champion Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) is unproven on pay-per-view, which is what a fight between him and Porter would need. ESPN has limits on what they’re willing to pay, according to Arum.

Now that's Arum in January, and Arum in May! Now you show me where they made two offers to Shawn Porter! Also, let me remind you that washed up Khan, and washed up Brook, both had guarantees of more than $1 million to fight Crawford!

”I understand the business of boxing at this point, and to even begin negotiations at $2 million is an insult, and everybody in the sport of boxing knows the welterweight division is the hottest division in boxing,” Shawn Porter told ALHI TV
“Here’s the thing. You offered Kell brook $2 million because you knew $2 million would get Kell Brook in the ring, and that $2 million was enough for him, It’s not enough for Shawn Porter.”

So again, I ask you, show me where Bob Arum made 2 offers to Porter, which he declined!

He'll offer you the fight you want but you have to sign an extension...and it usually gets down to the wire before it happens. It happened with Julio, Donaire and a few others. Most guys find themselves shelved for not taking another fight with an extension attached to it.
We've heard Terence make several comments about Bob over the past year and Bob has made his share of comments. I'm sure it was all over money.
Again, shut cho ass up!
Y'all love to use the word "duck" but can't explain it worth a fuck when challenged.
