If I recall correctly, Wilder actually jabbed and boxed well in that first Stiverne fight, and then he got sloppier. It doesn't matter how one looks on the mitts, as long as you fight well in the real fight.

Wilder has an uphill battle, and I give Fury the clear edge, but I'm not sure how sharp Fury is going to be for this fight, if it happens. Fury can be knocked down and probably knocked out if he's not careful.Comment

Exactly. I don't want him to go out there and get obliterated again but he just doesn't show enough "staying power" in the division regarding his skill level. Fury and AJ can keep the division going with their skill sets but Wilder's reduced himself to a one-punch fighter or as some would call him, a one trick pony.

He failed to look at the writing on the wall before the first Fury fight and never got better. He never corrected his mistakes after receiving the Draw and it showed. He kept the hype train going with the Brezeale KO and was practically outgunned by Ortiz in the rematch before he landed the "big right hand" and it ended it. It was truly downhill from there.

I just don't know if he has enough to overcome Fury but let's wait and see.Comment

In many of Wilder's earlier fights, he did exhibit some boxing skills. His skills were jabbing then with the right hand after the jab. He has some feints, left hook here and there but I felt like he was primarily setting up people for the big right hand. I would like to see if he goes to the body more, jabs more and has more diversity with his attacks. He will need to display more from his arsenal to knock out Fury. What if he doesn't knock out Fury? Can he outbox him and win by decision? These are the questions I want to see answered on October 9th.

Wilder is probably correct ,I find it hard to believe a pro boxer of any sort cannot put together proper combos . The thing is he hasn’t exactly done that and is relying on the training sessions in the biggest fight of his career to show us he can box . If Fury weighs more this time I can’t see him losing even if Wilders statements are true here .Comment
